IHC B: Holders bow out

Kildalkey's Matty Cully

Moylagh on Friday night was the venue for this Round 5 clash between Wolfe Tones and Kildalkey.

Kildalkey got a great start and Shay Diggins had the ball in the net from his first attack Liam Carroll followed that up with one from distance Mattie Cully (3frees)Mattie Rickard and Arron Potterton also got on the scoreboard but Wolfe tones were equal to it and got 3 goals before halftime to lead 3-10 to 1-6 at the break.

Kildalkey also got a good start to the second half hitting the first 4 points from Cully (2), Diggins and James Potterton but Tones got in for a fourth goal a tap in after a great save from Camerhon Smith beforehand.

However they never gave in and good points from Conor Barnwell, Potterton, Ben Rickard and Darragh Ryan to bring their tally to 1-15 but Tones won out on a score line of 4-16 to 1-15 which puts them into the final.
