Not my prediction, far from it. Was questioning the person who posted the prediction.

Why can't the gobshites stick to the English premiership? ... like you know what to a blanket. If people can't behave themselves at GAA matches, they should be made to jog on!!!

I think Mayo can and will win this weekend.

- They are perhaps the only team in the country who can match Dublin for strength, pace and fitness.
- They have as good as, if not better free-taker in CIllian O'Connor.
- I think they are mentally stronger than before. People dismissed their AI credentials completely after the Galway defeat. But they regrouped well and proved they could deal with pressure in the way they beat a fancied Tyrone in a tight quarter final.
- They have All Ireland final experience and know how to deal with the day.
- Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, they should have a ravenous appetite for battle on Sunday. McGuinness talked about it today in his column. They'll need a sort of controlled madness to take this Dublin team to places they don't want to go. If they can do that, and press home their advantage in periods when they're on top, I think Mayo can win this game by about 2 or 3 points.

Deluded to say the least! Best forwards in the country kicking only 9 points?? Sure Rock will probably score that alone from placed balls.

Stats say otherwise.

Mayo must not concede goals to have a chance. Mayo conceded 7 in last 3 champ matches against Dubs

What did they score in last year's final? Mayo's defence is much better than Kerry's

My head says Dublin my heart says Mayo. For Mayo to win they need a lot to go right for them:
1. Push up on Cluxton's kick outs for start.
2. Killian O Connor to nail every free.
3. Lee Keegan to keep his cool for the 73 minutes.
4. Aidan O Shea to score a goal
5. Mayo keeper and defence to play a blinder.
6. Dublin to lack focus and discipline (in front of hill 16 this is unlikely)
In short Mayo need lots and lots of to go right for them.
How Mayo can play well:
1. Bring on Connor O Shea at half time. He will score goals.
2. Keep Aidan O Shea in at full forward- not midfield.

I know it's being pedantic but should it not be Mayo V Dublin seeing as how Mayo won the first semi final?

Dublin to win at a canter. 8-10 points. Mayo have only played in fits and bursts in most games this year and I cannot see this being effective against Dublin. When Mayo hit their quiet spells Dublin will punish, unlike Westmeath, Tyrone and Tipp.

Dublin not scoring goals this year in championship. Only scored 5 goals in 5 games compared to 18 in 7 last year.

You're right, it's a bit pedantic.

Jeez - Mayo will have to commit at least 5 fouls in the scoring zone for Dublin to get 9 scorable frees!

Will Dublin's achievements of the last few years be overshadowed if they are the first team to lose a final to Mayo since '51?

I don't doubt Dublin's hunger. I just think if they're even a few % off Mayo can capitalise.
