I'm with you on this one realdub. He's hardly top six in Meath after last weekend. And I can't remember the last time Meath won a trophy honestly.

"dublin depend on bernard brogan for scores" yet in the next breath they say dublin have serious firepower up front. "its only the league" yet they turn around and say I cant see anybody outside division one winning the all ireland. "jimmys winning matches" Its a long time since jimmy played for donegal he must have some right booth to score from the sideline. "kerry are an ageing team" some of these guys must be due their pension as I have been hearing that for years about the same players. "the white heat of championship" this one is strange dublins young players we wont know how good they are till they play the same opposition as they have just played in the league or worse they play teams from lower divisions.

waynoI No such thing as natural footballers Muck.
Then why were you agreeing with my description of natural footballers on the 'what is a natural footballer?' thread?
Jimbo you are right. It is actually 1.3 million. I suppose it is easy to lose track of 100,000 here or there - which happens to be three times the population of leitrim by the way...

Lets leave Dublin aside for a moment and pose the question:
Kerry and Mayo probably have about the same popultation give or take 10,000 or so, so let me ask........'WHATS WRONG WITH MAYO'??!!......1958 lad!
For 'mayo' also replace with any other similarly populated county!.....Kildare, Meath, Limerick!
Ye who love to slabber on about population, answer why ye dont even have a fraction of what kerry have, yet yer population is probably quite similar??!.....well?! Here come the excuses!

And I'm not even getting into mentioning some of the stories imagined by Dubs and stated on here in relation to the Brogan free against Kildare in 2011. Outright lies about supposedly seeing headlocks which were repeatedly stated by certain posters in the hope they'd catch on even though they contradicted the comments of the Dublin players and management on the day.
You can put the 'referee was going to award a penalty anyway' comments in relation to the Sheridan goal against Louth in 2010 in that category also. It was a square-ball long before that.
As the title says, keeping repeating it won't make it true.

Apparently the penalty would have been taken into am empty goal anyways as there's no way it wouldn't have been a goal anyways.
Moving on, as we can see from the "natural footballer" thread, no defenders are natural footballers, and there's no gyms in certain counties either as they don't seem to work on fitness.
Systems are now the footballing offspring of Satan while kicking the ball instead of handpassing it is a legitimate and admirable tactic.
"The dogs on the street know" as the basis for qualifying a rumour into supposed fact is also a good one.

Mayo arent as good at football as kerry. So on an even playing field between the two, kerry will more often than not, come out on top. Pretty straight-forward.
Now considering dublin have 10 times the population of kerry... maybe you would be so kind as to elaborate...

''Dublin have such a mssive pick they'll win all round them'' ''Kerry are an ageing team and won't win all ireland for another 11 years'' ''Tyrone are still a team in transition'' ''Mayo don't have the forwards to win Sam'' ''Donegal won't win sam if they have to go through the qualifers'' ''Kildare are the fittest team by a mile'' ''Meath will make the Lenister final in 2013'' ''Cork if they have a full panel to pick from will win sam''
''The minor grade needs to be changed''

what good is having ten times the population you cant use them all on the field only 15 can start and 5 come on as subs. now if ment we had more people on the pitch you would have something to moan about.

Sorry, thats not good enough!
Dublin have 23 All Irelands. We have Rugby and Soccer and Golf and Boxing, etc!.....all you have to do is look at our greatest sports stars in every arena to see that the vast majority are Dubs, so therefore we contribute waay more than our fair share to every other sport (the GAA in Dublin has to compete with) as opposed to kerry or any other county so its not comparing apples with apples lad!
Mayo and Kerry are: Rural counties with a few large towns Similar size Similar population GAA focussed (very little impact on other sports)
Kerry have 36 or so AI's while Mayo have not won since 1958!!!!......to say simply that kerry are just better, while true, is more of a terrible indictment of mayo 'all things being equal' than it is simply to state the fact that 'kerry are better'....or do you not realise that as you slabber on about the population of the capital which has produced a wealth of world champions at every other sport possible?!
