Antrim and Offaly are going well as well. Likely to make the quarter-finals as well.

Not a hope Meath or Cavan will win Tailteann Cup going by current performances or form. Both will need big improvement to even remain in div 2 next year. Down look like the standout team by a distance but maybe others will improve as the competition concludes. Limerick, Antrim and Fermanagh will be reasonably happy with their form.

Is there a draw for the preliminary quarter finals or is it set(ie, 2nd in Group 1 plays 3rd in group 2 and vice versa)

Are the quarter finals on a home/away basis?(1st place in each group gets home advantage?

Limerick above Antrim and maybe even Fermanagh?

Longford above Laois and Wexford surely?

Tipperary above London?

Clare beat Limerick in the Munster semi-final. Clare are looking at a whitewash after losing at home to Donegal. Limerick have qualified for the Tailteann quarter-finals with a game to spare. Limerick have an opportunity for a great summer.

I'd have Limerick, Fermanagh and Antrim evenly matched with Fermanagh and Antrim having slightly better seasons so far,

Fair point on Longford I'm reading too much into their terrible league campaign they should be ahead of Laois and Wexford.

Tipperary abysmal this year so far albeit so are London although they ran Cavan fairly close Saturday afternoon.

It looks like it's a draw for the knockouts. Nothing has been set.

The competition layout says venues for the knockouts will be decided by the ccc so I guess that means no home advantage.

It doesn't say whether there is a draw after each round or whether the path is mapped out from the prelim QF onwards.

Looks like Limerick are the first team into the quarters. No matter what happens them in 2 weeks they top the group on the head to head.

Not sure why it takes so long to publish the fixtures.

Cavan-Offaly
Down-Meath
Limerick-A N Other
Fermanagh-Antrim
That looks to be group winners and seconds who will probably beat the third in any of the other groups that will make up last 8.

Amazing how you can rank teams after 2 games. New York have even played a game in the Tailteann yet you can rank them . How you work that out?

You must be easily amazed.

I'm not just ranking teams off the two games the whole season has to be taken into context.

New York have played two games this year so far and deserved to be in the conversation.

I'm assuming as per the Sam Maguire if you finish 2nd you get a home draw in the preliminary quarter final.

Wicklow had a very poor showing in this compettion due to injuries and really cost them . I think another tiered compettion needs to be looked at due to the fact division 2 teams are in this cup it is a joke meath are division 2 should be in sam maguire in my view so should down and cavan . the gaa will have to come up with another compettion for teams that are struggling

I enjoy a good power rankings!! Would have Warerford bottom though. Leitrim have really disappointed me. Have a real soft spot for them as have close family from there.
