Replying To Premier28:  "What about the 50's when Tipp won another 3 or4 or was the competition weaker then or between 2010 and 2019 when they won another 3 and the 40's and the 30's??"
That's typical of your type of Tipp man. Blowing up your achievements to be more than they were. You won 3 in the 50s, and 2 in the 30s and 40s. You also only won 1 in each of the 1910s and 1920s. More recently you only won in each of the 70s, 80s, 90s and noughties. If you except the good teams of the 50s/60s and the teen years this millennium you have won #### all compared to Cork and Kilkenny. Your 28 is padded out by wins back in the day when hardly anyone in the country played organised hurling back in the 19th Century.

Replying To Premier28:  "we are in the same class as Kilkenny and maybe a class higher on head to head down through the years
on 50 years between Tipp and Kilkenny head to head Tipp have won 4 (1991, 2010,2016, 2019)
KK have won 3 (2009, 2011,2014)
And 2009 was the robbery of the dodgy penalty that KK got to win the four in a row
so overall it looks like head on head in All Ireland finals Tipp are on top for the last 50 years and the stats pre the last 50 years are even more in Tipps favour."
Oh the old robbery crack again. I thought Cody dismissed that argument very well. BTW You did not mention 2013 above and did they also beat ye around 2002/03. So we are in the same class as ye because over the past fifty years. or indeed take any of decades you like to mention. we have a 50/50 success against. No P28 we are not. Having a good head to head record does not much if you not have outright wins to show for. People could say ye only a 14 man team in '19 but as you know that would be another facile argument. You cannot get away from the fact that over the past 56 seasons they have overpowered ye 3 to 1
It is delusional to say ye are in the same class as KK. We have beaten KK in five All Ireland Finals out of the 9 the two counties contested. Are we in the same class as KK, because of that- NO WAY PM.

Are you forgetting they won the AI in 2018 and won Munster in 2019? They have won 5 Munsters in a row and 4 AIs to go along with them. Tipp never managed that in a 5 year period even back in the 19th Century.

This is the chap who possibly cost Cuala a place in the county final with his creche tactic of leaving Con as a one man full forward line. It was only when Con chose to ignore him that Cuala gave themselves a chance against Na Fianna in the semi final. Must have applied for the Dublin job himself ..."

I remember watching whatever game Sky showed after we drew with yourselves in Wexford Park in 2013. He was laughing at the standard of hurling in comparison to whoever was in the other match.

We had the last laugh in Portlaoise a few weeks later. Don't know what possessed Twomey to take him on in Cuala.

I think LK beat Tipp by Six in eighteen, 12 in '19 , Nine in twenty after Tipp go a goal that should have been disallowed and G Hegarty had a perfectly legitimate one disallowed., five in '21 after been 14 points up at one stage and 3 last year.

I am a neighbour of Paudie Fitzmaurice. He was a sub in 73, but did not get on for one minute that year . How the hell would the ball go wide off him?. Anyway I have spoken to about fifteen Limerick men-all men- who were all directly behind the goal when Ritchie drove it straight and true over the black spot.

Replying To Ryanteam:  "Never had an issues with Tipp supporters, and usually they are very informed, and not arrogant. In 1964, Tipp introduced newcomers Mick Roche, and Babs Keating. They were unstoppable in those 2 years, and I believe the prevailing opinion within the GAA is that Tipp team will go down as one of the greatest ever! They were certainly tough but with players like Jimmy Doyle , Babs, Tony Wall and Donie Nealon, lots of pure hurling! Kilkenny won in 1963 but had no answer to the Tipp 1964 team!"
Yes and Tipp won in 65 and had no answer to Limerick the following year and likewise in '59 to Waterford after winning in 58.

We did actually
4 All Irelands out of 5, 61,62,64,65 so there is your 5 year period
you need to educate yourself on the history of Hurling
We also have 42 Munster finals and Limerick still only have 24 even after their 5 in a row

theres your statistics and no back door
no question they were the greatest!!"
Corks won in five in six years in the forties and of course KK won eight in ten years in this Millenium. At best Tipp were the third best team ever and those are the facts to prove it.

I think they were no more dominant that Limerick were over the last three years. contested twelve finals and won all twelve of them. Not bad for a county with about one fifth the hurlers that cork have and probably a third that of both Galway and Tipp.

Id love to see your posts when Tipp win their 29th this year putting us 22 ahead of Wexford and 17 ahead of Limerick

As I said John Doyle regretted the introduction of a bag and it did ye harm in 2010 and '19.

Replying To Premier28:  "there was a big two then Tipp and Kilkenny
They played 7 All Irelands between them Tipp won 3 and Kilkenny won 3 and one draw
You need to do more research
The big one you talk about now has 11 All Ireland titles and waited 45 years to win one that will never happen with the big 3"
I never said we were a big one but you claimed The Tipp team of the sixties was the best team ever and I rightly challenged you on that.

Wake up oldtourman ye have 11 All Irelands in 148 years of the history of the GAA.
it took ye 45 years to win the one in 2018 and before 1973 when ye got a 70 against Tipp that never was a 70 and beat a KK team with 8 of their players injured it took ye another 45 years thats two All Irelands in 90 years
You need to face reality man thats why ye will never be compared to Tipp/Cor/kKK
