Lohansredhelmet that was a very childish comment..ye left a Munster final after ye and it wasn't the young supporters who came onto the field was the problem..have a look closer to home for the ills ye had today..2nd year in a row that huge mistake was made on the line..we,ll enjoy our time cos we know it won't last forever, but long may it last.. Ha ha ye just can't take your beating the refs signal looked like he blew up for full time. Get over it ref gave ye everything, pulled up Hegarty when he should have played advantage with Gillane inside free, gave O'Donnell a free with 5 minutes to go for nothing. Maybe if yer guys didn't have a reputation for diving ye might have got the free at the end

It was disgraceful. I had two kids at the game today but , unlike those who ran on the pitch, I had control over my children. The ref bottled the end of the game. Clare had 2 frees, neither given. You know what though. We will be better for it, please god we see ye in the All Ireland. We owe ye more than one LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2697 - 11/06/2023 22:54:38 2485651 Link 0 |
I've no skin in this particular game, though it would have been nice to see clare end their wait for a munster title, but I'm thinking along those lines,, perhaps clares apparent reputation for diving and feigning injury came back to bite them today, in which case I've no sympathy. That kind of thing is deplorable in our games. Galway9801 (Galway) - Posts: 1942 - 11/06/2023 23:24:52 2485658 Link 1 |

Wasn't the man you admire greatly, David Reidy, only brilliant today. Lovely to see Limerick sickened you again as you said they did last year.

If its a Kilkenny Galway Leinster final just play it in Thurles, its a logical netural venue for the 2 so who cares if its not in Leinster.

While Lohan as a player donned a fabulous shiny red helmet, the man's helmet as a manager as this stage is at best, a kinda blurry orange-purple. Slow to twig thinks on the sideline, it seems. I mean for example, would Davy Fitz have been so slow to sub a full-back line man who was clearly being out-gunned by the man he was directly marking? OH, no! That red helmet is losing its gloss nowadays. foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 2229 - 12/06/2023 03:53:25 2485669 Link 1 |
It's the Leinster Championship organised by the Leinster Council?

Listen we only have ourselves to blame as we shot ourselves out of the game but the ref did us no favours at the end of that match. He was the only man in that stadium that saw no free in. We need to dust ourselves off. The ultimate prize is still there for us. LohansRedHelmet (Clare) - Posts: 2697 - 12/06/2023 08:07:47 2485676 Link 0 |

Oh grow up a bit., that's an even more whiny post than your first one. The ref was shocking for both teams. Clare have no one to blame for losing yesterday but themselves. You lost all composure at the end and hit some shocking wides.. We were there for the taking and you weren't able to do the job. I watched the incidents again last night, yes they should have been frees but TK flinging himself to the ground holding his head in a carbon copy of his antics v Cork didn't last long.. He looks around, sees the ref is having none of it and hops back up fairly quickly.. It might be unpleasant for you but maybe Clare's reputation for diving had something to do with the ref not blowing for a free. skillet (Limerick) - Posts: 1106 - 12/06/2023 09:22:07 2485694 Link 1 |

LRH, I have a lot of respect for your posts. You talk a lot of sense. But calling children a disgrace for over exuberance & saying their parents can't control them is in very poor taste. Whether it was Clare or Limerick children invading, isn't it great to see so many kids at the game? They are kids. They were all excited about the five in a row. Had it been Clare kids they'd be excited about winning the Munster title. As for owing us one, therein lies the Clare problem. Ye want to 'owe Limerick one' as opposed to winning for yourselves. Clare have a brilliant team. But as Donal Og said last night your record in Munster finals is poor. Can ye raise the game for other teams apart from Limerick? Perhaps focusing on where this game was lost and improving on those points makes more sense than kids invading the pitch, frees not given or owing Limerick one. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6480 - 12/06/2023 09:57:09 2485718 Link 0 |
Spot on, Buachaillbui. Clare wasted two easy point opportunities after their goal. They should have gone in at five points up instead of three, which psychologically made a big difference. Likewise, I couldn't understand Lohan's delay in changing the corner back but despite all that, Clare had enought chances in the second half to win by about five points. Looking at the positives, they have shown that they're a match for Limerick over two games in Limerick and should have no fears of anyone going forward.

"Joe canning and Eoin Cody can enjoy their Sunday evenings and not be too upset that the Munster final was a good contest and maybe one day people might stop being so hung up one what's going on in Munster." Maybe Canning and Cody are fed up to the back teeth of hearing and reading pundits (usually from Munster) in the national media, telling them how wonderful the Munster Championship is, and how rubbish Leinster is. Here's Dónal Óg Cusack last week on RTE Munster is a battle. Leinster is a game. Cockney_Cat (UK) - Posts: 2775 - 12/06/2023 10:42:21 2485742 Link 1 |
