I think you have every chance Barney after watching the 2 games today. As do Tipp. 2 great exciting games but loads of mistakes both on the pitches and on the lines.

Replying To tiobraid:  "They have had problems for a long time now with going at them down the centre. A patched up Kk team…..not a good watch from a Galway point of view even if they do go on to win this.
Just don't really see what Shefflin has brought to kilkenny. Not as bad as Lohans lack of change but P mannion has been woeful here and he's still on"
To Galway! He obviously brought a bit to kilkenny!

Replying To Doylerwex:  "Hate to admit it but serious guts from Galway here. Looked like they were going to be blown away at one stage.

One or two Galway supporters irritated me earlier in the year the way the spoke about us so for once was praying for a Kilkenny exhibition which is a strange feeling"
I'd say now, that's not an unusual phenomenon ....

Totally agree. All teams left in it have major room for improvement. No one team seems to have the ruthlessness needed to kill of their opponent when they go 6-7 points ahead.

Replying To CTGAA10:  "I'd be running at Galway through the centre, yellow card for g Mc could be huge problem..some great fielding by defenders on both sides..what a pity a Leinster venue with a 30 thousand capacity isn't available, atmosphere would be terrific..can hear a lot from croke park."
Sure it doesn't have to be played in Leinster. Thurlas would be more central. We have to stop thinking that it has to be played at a lenister venue when there are 3 provinces involved!

I still fancy Tipp if they can get the injuries sorted. Be interesting to see what Clare and Galway are like in two weeks. Hopefully, they have a bit of a hangover from today.

Call it what it is - "The Three Provinces" SHC.

This all Ireland is still there for anybody..if I'm right and as is expected that tipp/Dublin win..quarter finals will be tipp/Galway and Clare/Dublin..Kilkenny got a result missing a lot of players today, think Galway will feel it was left behind but unfortunately cats are never beaten til match is over..I've said we got a big run of green at end of match but that wasn't the losing of match for Clare..how many wides and shots that dropped short in last 10 mins..how a change wasn't made on gillane is a mystery..even Hayes or hogan on him..Lohan made a mistake last year to v the cats..a long few weeks to go yet and anything could happen..

I don't think it's so much a lack of ruthlessness, more so that there is hardly anything between the top 4 or 5 top teams. Limerick and Clare have played twice this year in Munster. One win apiece, both games decided by 1 point. In Leinster, Galway v Kilkenny, it's one draw and a 1 point win to KK.
The question is (like most years), is Munster stronger than Leinster? We'll see, I can't wait for the rest of the season, starting next week with the preliminary quarter-finals. This could turn out to be a vintage year for hurling.

Wouldn't expect you to get it considering Galway have competed in 3 out of 4. It absolutely does have to be played in leinster

Ye would do well to keep yere fans off the pitch before the match is over. Disgraceful

That's some whiny comment.. Bunch of youngsters ran onto the pitch when they thought they heard the final whistle...
Disgraceful' is a poor choice of words..

Let him grieve. Calling kids, running excitedly onto a hurling pitch when several players also thought it was over disgraceful, is funny though. That was a tough loss as Clare could have won it but didn't have the mental composure at the end. Limerick were below the standard that they showed v Cork today and the extra week break for clare I felt told towards the end. But to win a title you have to be able to see it out.

I hate this muck about Munster and Leinster..

The Munster championship is on a different planet to Leinster. Doesn't mean the best County is in Munster. You'd think that would be clear to grown men by now. There's little between what's left this year. Fair play to kilkenny and Limerick today. Well done to Clare and Galway for making both games a great contest.
Special mention to the ref in the Clare Limerick game. It was a tough ending for him but thought he had a good game. Onwards to another 6 or so weeks of good manly stuff and a worthy champion at the end no doubt

Why does it have to be played there? How come the 2018 final replay was played in thurlas? Because Croke park was not available, so it definitely can be done. Change is good and if adequate stadiums are not available then we have to look else where!

It is looking like a Limerick V Kilkenny final again. Galway have got a difficult match now against either Offaly or Tipp.

You know what…I ruled us out and didn't really give us a chance but they might as well believe now. All the top 4 teams have a number of players off form so if Tipp can get their injuries right they should believe.
Limerick have been brilliant in getting these wins this year but their form has given the rest hope. Won one match by two points, two by one point, a draw and a loss by a point.
Given the way scores go on the game of hurling, that really is remarkable but does give teams hope they can beat them.
Plenty of excitement ahead. Hopefully Joe canning and Eoin Cody can enjoy their Sunday evenings and not be too upset that the Munster final was a good contest and maybe one day people might stop being so hung up one what's going on in Munster.
Another great day for hurling. I had a sneaky few euro this morning on the draw double but wasn't to be!

Firstly want to congratulate Limerick. Tough tough team. We tried out best but came up short. Tough loss to take when you lose a final by a point. Can only blame ourselves. Had Lim on the rocks after our goal but didn't capitalise. Shocking amount of wides and not changing our full back line after it was roasted for nearly 45-50mins.
Not the first time walking back to the car after a munster final defeat but at least this time we're not gone, yet.
