Replying To Canuck:  "I think most people think Waterford are going to set up extra defensively. I believe the opposite. They will go at Limerick with young Fitzgerald, Hutchison, Bennett and Kiely. Certainly if Gleeson had been available. Then try and hold them in the second half. Davy is trying to throw out diverse messages that I don't think anyone is going to fall for. Maybe I am way off but we will see. One way or they other it is a massive task and avoiding a heavy defeat would be the best you could hope for. Some other one in his backroom team says no one other than McNulty with the broken bone is missing. Playing one of the greatest teams ever and on the way to the greatest is something to look forward to."
Gleeson has trained the last 2 weeks. I expect kiely and Gleeson up tip with Fitzgerald and Dessie I'm front and behind Hannon..they'll go route one all day and Waterford won't allow Nash the ball. It'll be a lot closer than the bookies have it

With Kilkenny and Antrim to qualify!!
Antrim have a chance to win v Dublin and then go to Wexford Park?? .....its a long shot but sure why not!!!

Munster Champions Clare
With Cork and Waterford to qualify.

All Ireland Champions Galway."
Ah Jaysus, you've your hex put on poor Galway now. I can see ye making the final alright, but I think that Antrim will have too much powder for ye on the day.

I'm expecting Waterford to not leave Nash or hannon advance to much at all..if gleeson is fit I'd think he might be on hannon..Hutchinson,kiely and Bennett could stay inside forcing limerick to man mark..Waterford might have a problem at the other end as this would leave them going man for man..this match Sunday will be a lot closer than the majority think and davy is bound to bring something no one expects..

Replying To clooney:  "Thanks Katser but you can't look past Limerick/Tipp/Cork in Munster if Waterford had a full hand they could well be dangerous. We simply have to get a result on Sunday if we are going to Gaelic Grounds with a loss on our backs we will be in trouble

Limerick have the best possible panel available to them won the league in 3rd Gear there biggest problem is in picking the best 15 if teams continue to if teams keep letting them set the terms you have no chance.

In leinster i suppose KK Galway & Wexford

its great to have hurling back some very good underage games as well"
You are running your team down there Clooney

You might not realise it, but Kathy is actually a good luck charm for Lim3rick.
She's been betting against us in everything, every chance she gets since 2018.
4 All Irelands, 4 Munsters & 3 leagues later I'd be worried if she was tipping us to win :)

Leinster:
Galway
Kilkenny
Dublin

I would hope that Wexford's performances in the League were moreso down to us concentrating on the Championship more than we usually do early in the year but can't say with confidence that that is the case (Or even if it is the case, that it will work).

Munster:
Limerick
Tipperary
Cork

All-Ireland Champions: Limerick

Yes I think there is some shadow box going on with who is available. Daly would be a huge loss. There is going to be inexperience in the backs any way with Mark Fitzgerald and maybe Conor Ryan. A dangerous thing against Limerick.

I believe the thought process is not to put anyone slightly injured at risk for this one as the chances in the next games might be better. For instance it is a stretch to think Gleeson could play this one and a full game next week. There may be other injuries being kept under wraps. Like Prunty and Bennett. There seems to be varied stories and leaks coming from inside the camp. It is very easy to say someone pulled up in warm up or someone made a better recovery than expected. Who knows what mind games are at play.

I'll be waiting till 145pm Sunday to know the Waterford starting team for Sunday and not a minute before it.

There's no way Davy will show his full hand on Sunday Canuck.

A lot of posters thinking there's no way Davy will let Nash be free. Tipp pinned him back early in the game but eventually the tide turned. For me he's arguably the best hurler in the country. Tipp as much as anyone play 15 players in their natural positions (not completely but close to it)
Davy is the one that no one expects to do that so I'm not sure how people think he will pin Nash back. He has shown nothing in 10 years to suggest he will do that. If he plays any kind of that crazy game he played with Wexford where full backs can appear at the other end of the pitch then they're doing it against the wrong team in Limerick. I've tipped Waterford to get out of Munster but for the life of me I can't see them winning this weekend. If they went 15 on 15 I'd give them a better chance than some mad tactic Davy is going to come up with - which might cause problems for other teams but not Limerick who hold their positions in backs and midfield so well.

This weekend is going to be interesting. Huge games in Leinster for Dublin, Antrim and wexford in particular. Both Dublin and Wexford will be looking for huge performances. Everyone is expecting Galway to win but we are all guilty of judging on league form while also admitting most didn't bother at all with the league.

I'm biased but for me the big game in Munster is the Tipp Clare game. Tipp will need to hurl for 70 mins as I'm expecting Clare to be a completely different team than the league which they very clearly didn't bother at all with.
Be interesting to see who Cahill selects. The younger players have very much outshone the older players this year and deserve to start. I'm expecting a big game fromForde and I think he can get some joy against the Clare corner backs if he plays there. Cahill be very annoyed not to have created a goal chance against Limerick as his teams have a history of going for goals and not taking an easy point option. Huge game for Tipp as if they lose their immediately under pressure with 3 tough games to follow

Hard to follow that. This idea of saving players for the other 3 matches is a bit bonkers if it turns out to be true. Firstly Limerick aren't unbeatable, secondly it's the Munster championship, and thirdly, expecting easier matches against the other 3 is hardly lightly either. I hope for Waterford's sake that every game is treated as a final

If he loses, it'll be "he was holding back". We heard this for years with Davy in Wexford "he's hiding something" only for it to be discovered that he was hiding nothing.
The best teams go out to win every game, every day.
What could Davy possibly "hide" that Paul Kinnerk wouldn't know if they meet in an All-Ireland or Munster Final? Nothing. And even if he did keep something in reserve, I don't think Davy's cunning plans keep any opponent awake at night.
Otherwise, Waterford will be lambs to the slaughter on Sunday and that can be far more damaging than anything he is hiding.

Exactly how every championship game should be treated. But Davy is smarter than everybody else, right???? ;)
