Another stalwart retired in Paul Morris, like Shuan owes the jersey nothing, was always under rated in my opinion, sound fella too.

Don't know him personally but heard that. Great player with an amazing scoring average from play for the county. Well done and thanks Paul hope you enjoy your retirement!

Both those players leave the jersey in a better place than they got it.
Paul Morris must have first hurled for Wexford in the Colm Bonnar or early Liam Dunne era? Wexford were rubbish when both started, I know that much.
As with most Wexford hurlers they carried themselves well on and off the pitch, not that I know them.
A great example for young players both are.

I happen to know Paul's father myself, and so I've had a particular interest in Paul for a good few years now. A sound fella.

He actually made his Wexford debut in the League v Carlow back in 2010. Wexford lost that day. I remember thinking how it was terrible in a way that such a talented player would grow up dreaming of playing for Wexford, but then when he got his chance, it would be on such a disappointing day.

Thankfully he had many better days after that. A great servant to Wexford hurling. I hope he has more good days with Ferns, and I wish him all the best.

According to the fixtures on this website we're away to Laois on Jan 8th and Offaly Jan 15th.

Walsh Cup fixtures announced. Away to Laois again! Is it an away and away arrangement we have with them?! Looking forward to the 3 games already. Hopefully a good few of the younger lads get gametime.

I know nothing of him but he and all the Wexford men came across as a top fellow in 2019, stayed in Wexford Park all evening signing hurls, getting pictures taken and made time for everybody.
Great ambassadors and credit to family, club and county.

Congratulations to Paul Morris and Shaun Murphy on the great service they gave to the purple & gold. Have met both many times and they are sound fella's . They will be hard replaced .

We will need some of the young lads from last years under 20 squad to step up to the mark over the next few years. I hear Egan has a few of them in training now which is good to hear.

Think some the lads that were abroad are back too, saw Kevin Foley myself over the weekend so he's back anyway by the looks of the things.

Hopefully we dont lose any more from last years panel. It would be great if likes Liam Og could commit for another year . I heard Rory is travelling at the moment. I would presume he will be back in time for the league anyway

I would rather Rory got most of the League off to manage his knee tbh.

Agree 100% we need Rory fit for first round of Leinster and not start of the league .

Freshers League final on Higher Education YouTube Channel tonight at 7.45, UL v DCU, Darragh Carley named midfield for DCU and Tirnan Doyle from the Harriers in goal, IT Carlow won Division 2 freshers league last night, looking at the photos on social media Oisin Pepper seemed to be joint captain.

Great to see some of the young lads getting gametime. Can freshers play Fitzgibbon after in the same season?

Not any more, Joe Canning did back around 2007 and they changed it after that.

Suppose the Freshers championship kind of runs alongside the Fitzgibbon. These 2 teams met in the Freshers championship final last year. Well obviously with different players though!
