First I've heard of it. Where did you pick that up?
Ryan has had his injury problems but I doubt very much that he's retired. Plenty of hurling left in Jippo. He has been a great servant to Wexford hurling. Let's hope that your post is complete nonsense.

This is horrendous

None of the actual top eight counties would concede such a score in one half, even taking into everyone we have missing. In fact, Westmeath, Laois etc. would be asking serious questions of themselves for shipping so much in a half too.

We cannot afford to be so blasé about league games, it's not like we are awash with meaningful titles over the last decade plus.

Pathetic. We're doing it to ourselves

Not writing off the season because we have a lot of players coming back. However, this is the future lads. Been saying this for year's. Everything was being covered up under Davy. The underage at that time was very average and it's showing today. I'll say it again, our underage needs to be looked at pronto.

Cathal Dunbar the only positive you could take from that game. I have no doubt we will improve beyond recognition with our big guns back but that in itself is the worrying thing. Outside of those 6 or 7 lads missing we are very very average.

You're been very very optimistic there.

We will improve but beyond recognition I am
not so sure.

We are not hurling well at all this year, starting with the Laois loss at the start of the year.

Considering Westmeath only got beaten by six points by an in-form Cork team, it is unfathomable to concede what we did today in 'only the league'.

I always hold up Hegarty as the prime example of combining size with talent, but David Fitzgerald is another good example of that. In fact, Clare just seem to be bigger men as well as better hurlers. Meanwhile, our 'biggest' lad up front went hiding again (although wasn't the only one to be fair).

We are lucky we only border Munster and don't actual compete in it because I don't reckon we'd win a single game in that province regardless of home advantage.

Most of those players are becoming slightly injury prone now as well. It was a performance we were used to seeing pre Dunne. When the chin crop came through, we had 3 Leinster u21 titles, a competitive showing against Clare in an AI U21 final, and before all that GCC got to an All Ireland school's final with the majority of the 15 coming from Wexford. None of that has happened in the last decade apart from a single minor Leinster.

Our school's for the most part, are underperforming and the players who do come through look so light physically, it's a joke. Our county board have been poor at player development over the last decade. A few of our regular starters go down and we look like a division 2 side.

Also doubts over Egan if I'm honest. Give him the year obviously and see how it goes. If we get results like today in championship, serious doubts over his tenure will have to be asked.

Egan said at start of the year he has no interest in the leauge so should be no panic.

But we are REALLY good at the commercial side of things, so that's all that matters right?

Would Kerry, Offaly or Carlow have lost by any more than from that Clare side today?

I don't think so.

We have lads from the panel and the extended panel who are at Joe McDonagh level and some that wouldn't start for Joe McDonagh teams.

And it all stems back to our schools and club hurling been at a poor standard.

It's not a quick fix.

Nonsense as usual.

We offered up scores by persisting with a tactic that wasn't working. Nothing more

Well I'd like the think the most vocal critic here post match actually saw the game with his own eyes, game wasn't available on a stream or TV today.
