Replying To ExiledInWex:  "Blow in dub, doing as much coaching and other work in a Wexford club than 90% of the locals using the GAA's free babysitting service, but whatever you are having yourself."
Noone doubts you put the effort in Exiled. It's just you would make Roy Keane sound like a happy-go-lucky positive lad.

Team picked for tomorrow, good to see Chin back.i can't see it lineing out as per the programme,Clarke probably go corner back, Shane reck full back and Damien reck centre back with Foley moving to the wing, Chin and Dunbar probably swap as well. Good look to the lads, we badly need a win. One last thing, I cannot understand why Higgins is getting into the squad never mind the starting 15(but that only my opinion)good luck to the lad and I hope he proves me wrong.

Replying To Viking66:  "Maybe Niall Murphy or David Clarke instead of Jippo. Both are fullbacks. Agree Westmeath will be targeting this game. And I wouldn't be underestimating them. They were well in the game against Clare until the 2 quick goals before halftime.
Looking forward to it there should be a good atmosphere there too."
I hope it's a better atmosphere than last year! The on pitch fighting and the commentary from some of the Westmeath supporters wasn't pleasant, especially for the kids. There was one Westmeath woman and she was up pushing the subs on the bench around at full time shouting in their faces and in ours. Hadn't seen the likes of it in a while and we go to all games.

Replying To Doylerwex:  "It's not about a token gesture of 10 minutes.

It's about a little bit of perseverance.

The only player he integrated was Rory who he just couldn't ignore.

Oisín Foley is one exceptional talent he continually ignored who proved his worth immediately.

Byrne got treated unbelievably harshly for 1 mistake in the park.

He also didn't include the subs in team talks at training and that's from the horse's mouth.

They were in the team on paper, but never allowed to be part of it."
Seamus Casey also. I saw him in AI quarter-final v Cork in '18. In my opinion was our best player that day. Fast, good footwork, skillful, and excellent on frees. Made one mistake in Wexford Park under Davy and got no more chances.

If there was one player he treated like crap, it was Seamus Casey.

Have it on record Davy told he was wasting him time as a forward and made him 3rd choice keeper at one stage.

Davy had his 17 favourites and outside of that the rest of the panel didn't exist in his eyes.

I'd imagine most of them were glad to see the back of him.

Seamus Casey very good on frees too. But like Ross Banville maybe lacks a little bite and intensity in general play. Both excellent at taking points from open play as well as frees.

When I look at the starting team, I'm also a bit surprised and would expect a few changes. However, Darragh Egan usually seems to start the named team so could well be the case that the team lines out as named.

Don't know how exactly Westmeath lined out last weekend but they did play a sweeper against us last year and coming off a big beating last week, I think they'll probably go down that route again tomorrow. That means Damien Reck won't play full-back (Which is why I presume he was named there). Westmeath have Kevin Regan down as #15 but going by match reports, he started at wing-back against Clare so I'm guessing that's further evidence that they'll play a sweeper tomorrow.

They've named the exact same team that started last week (10 starters from last year's game plus 1 sub). Aonghus Clarke, Niall Mitchell, and Cormac Boyle are long-term absentees for them, I think, and Johnny Bermingham and Eoin Keyes started last year but are named on the bench. Put that altogether and whilst our depth is being tested right now, if Westmeath aren't even rotating one player after losing by 25 points, they probably don't have much in the way of depth either.

Watching another ill tempered game involving Waterford. They were down to 13 men after 5 minutes.

Laois giving them plenty to think about so far TerribleFootwork. Wonder will they be able to keep it up?

I suspect Wexford to beat Westmeath but it's no foregone conclusion. A surprise wouldn't be a surprise at all.

Not a foregone conclusion but expecting Wexford to win also. We aren't going too well at the moment and are down a good few players from last year. Our benches have been littered with u20s which is obviously good for long term development but it means our depth is thin this year big time. I'm sure it will be an exciting game nonetheless.

Very common trend with them down the years isn't it? Alot of ill discipline?

Good to get the win under the belt, Charlie, Dee, Liam Óg, Conor Hearne all played well in my opinion. Chin off at half time and didn't feature much when he played aside from frees

Conor Hearne was my man of match, outstanding contribution, Conor Mc quiet. Wexford totally dominant, won by 11 and easily had 15 wides
