I think a decision/announcement is very close. Just by coincidence my Google feed has been alive with Wexford hurling manager stories from the last few weeks all morning too whatever is going on with it, it wasn't like that yesterday. Plenty of talk in Carlow that Mulally might be the new man for us. Hopefully they are right.

That's good news for him. Hopefully it goes well for him over the coming years. Next time we are looking for a manager he will be a better manager for the extra senior intercounty experience he will get.

I heard Mulally myself, but until it if officially ratified you have to take these rumours with a pinch of salt.

Heard rumours of 2 other people at the weekend, not believing anything until something official is released.

Three interviewed: Mulally from KK; Mattie Murphy from Galway; and Donal Og from Cork.

Murphy is the outsider, but apparently neck n neck between the other two.

I wonder how close are we to a decision?

My understanding is that there are also other jobs to be announced minor football and hurling for example and wonder will they hold off ratify and announce everything at once?

Think minor football decision is a little way off yet

Mattie Murphy is a strange one . I know he had huge success with Galway underage but is he not getting on a bit now it would be a huge commitment travelling from Galway. Donal Og also would be a huge gamble. Like Egan he has been involved with inter county set ups but he's unproven as an inter county manager. Mulally would be my pick if we can get him would be very good appointment in my opinion

Seemingly the alligators in Florida are all alive with chat over who our new manager will be. (Hand on face emoji)

I've felt all along that Mulally would be the best choice if available. Good balance of experience, and success nearly everywhere he went before. If he gets the job hopefully he can bring that to our Senior hurlers.

Another lad who has put in alot of work since last year and looked OK in a challenge game earlier this year is Joe Coleman. He's having a good club championship too. Hopefully he gets another call this winter. Has a bit of size to go with the skill too.

Very disappointed to read Keith Rossiter in the fame for the Wexford job mentioned in todays independent. I'm sure he will be one for the future, but surely there is better more qualified candidates out there.

Same as that I hope it doesn't turn out to be a step too far too soon.

5 years involved with Davy's set up, 2 years managing u20s, why do people think he's inexperienced?

I'd have no issues with Keith Rossitor as manager but he needs a coach with him. I guess David Franks will come in as the coach similar to the U20 set up last year. Let Keith manage and Franks coach.
