Replying To benched:  "The game slipped away after the soft red card for the fullback (15 lucky all the other controversy means less talk about his dive) and was made worse by letting the Fossa defender off with a yellow for the second worse tackle of the day shortly after. The second red deserved everything he got and more, the third the full forward who had a great game was for a second yellow - personally i thought the first yellow in the first half was very soft but he needed to be more careful when he was already on a card.

Deflection seems to be the name of the game around here, going by your fellow county men anyway.

Although in saying that, i can't ever recall a Donegal team or many others getting 4 red cards in one game. Tyrone teams manager that feat twice in less than 12 months.

Unlike yourself, the real Donegal supporters and GAA people know this a nation wide problem. Pick and choose the problems and run down the county you don't like or maybe are jealous of. I wouldn't run down any county without admitting the problems in my own.

We've been told in Donegal for years we were 'too nice' and not 'ruthless enough'. McGuinness coming back apparently changed that but we allegedly assumed the niceness tag in the last few years. Again, this is an outside perception.

I don't care how great the prize is, I would rather be labelled too nice that resort to what was done to the two Clifford's on Sunday.

It is a big problem in club football across the whole country. There needs to be big clamp down on the smaller incidents - the headlocks, pushes to the head/face...etc These are clearly done to get a reaction and usually goes unpunished which leads to the escalation to the bigger incidents.

Never heard anyone saying anything about Donegal pre Jim being too nice - bunch of party animals with no discipline and lacking dedication maybe but not about how nice of fellas they were

Niceness/softness call it what you will but it was levelled at us plenty. Maybe if we had of instigated a few 'Battle of Omagh' type melees in Ballybofey we might have shaken it off fairly quickly.

There was no melee in the Ballybofey game with Armagh last year. Donegal won a sporting championship game, but Armagh deservedly got their own back in Clones in the backdoor game. Two hard hitting and fair games.

Good man Saynothing. You did indeed condemn the act and I have always found you to be very fair in your comments. Can't blame everyone on the acts of one or two.That game was played mostly in a very sporting manner. Let he without sin cast the first stone.

Didn't google that time, I couldn't put myself looking at those harrowing scenes again - pure thuggery no place in our sport, blah blah sure you know the lines yourself there.
Instead I went with my fading memory - Letterkenny was it? As Donegal thought they would have an advantage by not bringing Armagh to Ballybofey bahead of the championship clash a few weeks later. They definitely laid down a marker anyway starting a row AFTER the match!

I am sure you've seen plenty harrowing scenes following your own county - not called the Red Hands for nothing.

Anyway, well done on getting the venue correct at the second attempt. You couldn't really go wrong though although we do play some games in Ballyshannon as well. It's nice to have the facilities to spread them around the county.

Maybe it's time you live up to your name and bench yourself before you slip up again.

Ugly scenes between Naomh Barróg and Oulart the Ballagh as fight breaks out and spills over into stand
St Wexford, Google any county in Ireland and you'll come across unacceptable behaviour. This behaviour is to be condemned but If people fire stones at Tyrone I'll certainly throw them back. As I've said the good people from real footballing counties have more sense, except the wee girl peiledoir from our good neighbours Donegal.
