Replying To katser:  "Absolutely delighted I got my outright from the start correct of Galway 1st, Kilkenny 2nd Wexford 3rd."
Wow amazing kat who else could have picked those 3 teams in that order. A job at the Galway races fortune telling is next for you.

Replying To tiobraid:  "It's been a poor year for tipperary. If Tipp lose today then all 5 counties will have beaten Tipp this year.
However, I'm looking forward to today. I was really hoping for a limerick win last weekend to ensure Clare would go at full strength to give Tipp a slight chance of a miracle! However the confidence is up in Clare and very much down in Waterford.
Having said that I'd take a Tipp win and performance today and I think we might get that. All the pressure is really on Cork - they handled it last week but I fully believe that was more about Waterford being poor than cork being good. I thought the effort some of the cork forwards put in in the first half was aa bad as I had seen. Suddenly they realised they were in a game then and it clicked for them. Shane Kingston should be the first name on the cork team sheet for me - yet amazingly his own father won't pick him half the time! Probably because he's direct.
Hopefully we will have a bit of an atmosphere in Thurles today and from a tipp perspective, hopefully Clare can help us generate some real excitement!
Looking forward to seeing what some of the young Tipp forwards can do against this Cork defence. Expecting big games from Kehoe and Forde and praying for a miracle!"
Heading to Thurles to u20, I fully expect a Tipp win as they are a bit more consistent than Cork and definitely aren't as flaky as them. Tipp will work harder for a start.

But you predicted Limerick to lose each of their matches and yet still make a munster final. Impressive.

Dublin with 3 wins are out of the championship.
If Clare and Tipperary both win today then a team with 1 win makes the knockouts…
If Antrim win the Joe McDonagh final they get promotion to a provincial competition in a province that the county is not in, and join Galway who are also not in that province, while Laois get relegated. However if Kerry win the final they must win a playoff that they will most likely lose to join a provincial competition, but if they should overcome the odds then Laois are safe…
What a farce from top to bottom, teams dumped out on 3 wins while a team with 1 win may go through, different promotion rules for different counties, championship desperately needs to be restructured.

Congratulations to kilkenny on the u20 win, but this year's u20 championship has to be the worst ever, all crammed in too quick, no all Ireland semis, its like it was a nuisance to the GAA with its fixture schedule, it needs to be revised as soon as possible

Can Henry Shefflin make history?
And become the 1st outside Manager to get Galway to the All Ireland Final!
Every All Ireland Senior Hurling Final Galway played in had Galwaymen in charge.

Oh, oh, oh! You are forgetting the great Babs Keating. He led Galway to the 1979 AI final. Unfortunately, Galway fell flat on their collective behinds the same day.

I wasn't around in the 1950's so I can only go with my own head from the modern time. I wouldn't even google it but I'm sure there are people who will!!

Me neither. Hope you are right about the semifinal prediction. If we get to the semifinal we might win the AI this year. Now there's a prediction for you!

You have a point about the vagaries of the promotion/relegation situation but the difference in the number of games to qualify in 3rd place is always going to be an issue in any league system. It all depends on how the points are distributed among the teams involved. So it is possible to qualify from a 5-team group with 2 points, as might happen today in Munster. But Leinster has an extra team so that's impossible. The smallest number of points needed to qualify from a 6-team group is 3.
