Replying To katser:  "It's either Kilkenny or Wexford or a draw.
My predictions are....
Galway v Dublin..........GALWAY
Tipperary v Cork.........Tipperary
Clare v Waterford.......Waterford
Kilkenny v Wexford....Wexford"
Absolutely delighted I got my outright from the start correct of Galway 1st, Kilkenny 2nd Wexford 3rd.

Superb intensity and composure by wexford. It just shows the round Robin can throw up surprises every weekend. On the balance wexford deserved to come out of leinster drawing with Galway and beating kilkenny. Kilkenny will be worried re TJ Reid. He is a shadow of himself this year. Something not right there and he's a huge player for them. Padraig Walsh was a big loss too. Kilkenny seemed v limited tactically tonight but it wouldn't surprise me if they still won leinster.

Roll on tomorrow.

Yes Kilkenny still have a good chance in the Leinster Final. Galway will have to be a good bit better to win. Kilkenny score goals . No goals again for Galway today.

Poor from Dublin, disappointing championship overall. Well done to Wexford, that couldn't have been easy.

Replying To skirge7:  "If we were to do some very early predictions it is looking like:

Limerick play the winners of Kilkenny and the winners of Cork/Antrim

Galway play the winners of Clare and the winners of Dublin/Offaly.

Limerick v Clare/Galway in the final one would think."
Offaly not in the shakeup.

Even if Kilkenny do beat Galway in the Leinster final have they improved. I dont think so. They are poor at chasing a game and if any team really wants to bamboozle them ,then play a sweeper. They can't cope with it at all. TJ has no form whatsoever. He seems totally restricted and doesn't seem to run at all. They are a fairly limited team and tbe tactics are not getting the best out of Eoin Cody. Adrian Mullen, fine talent but goes out of the game for ages.

Well done to Wexford, that was a great result.

Wounded Cats in the Leinster Final though. That'll be fun.

1. with the price of petrol and diesel, play the final between
Galway and Limerick
No need for all the expensive messing about
2. That round robin minor series of Galway/Clare/Laois is a cod
Put Galway into Leinster or just scrap the provinces thing
Up the West

Hard believe if Galway beat Kilkenny in Leinster final they will have lost 3 championship matches and still be in it ,,., a few years ago Kilkenny didn't loose thar many in 5 years ,,

Good post. I was surprised how poor kilkenny were today. Rumours that the camp isn't exactly humming could be true. They were ruthless v Dublin last week but things not as they should be. Cody for such a weapon was never brought onto the game. As I said tactically v poor.

Let's leave all that and fairy stories to the children.

Good points regarding Kilkenny. This is what I said on the Wexford hurling topic:

Well played Wexford, you deserved to win this evening. Good luck in the quarter-finals, you can approach them with new hope and confidence.

From a Kilkenny point of view, I'm very disappointed. People always say (ad nauseum) Kilkenny are never beaten until the final whistle, never give up. Well tonight, we were out fought and out thought by Wexford in the last 15 to 10 minutes.
We have a lot of good players on the panel, probably not enough to win an All-Ireland, but at least a chance to reach the semis. I'm not sure Cody knows what his best starting 15 and subs are yet.
Still, there is a Leinster final against Galway coming up, followed by an All-Ireland quarter-final or semi-final. There's time to improve.

Well done Wexford. Didn't get to see much of the game but they seemed full value for their win. Cody does seem very p1ssed off this year!
Was listening to radio 1 which were giving updates on all 3 games and Brian Carroll said galway were far superior to Dublin and should have won by more. That's basically been the narrative after every Galway game which has to be a worry. On the other hand- winning breeds confidence but I remain unconvinced that they're the closest team to Limerick which the bookies have had them the majority of the year.
Surely the result is a huge blow for Dublin. They've gone out with a whimper and probably expected Kk to win. It's hard to see exactly where they are going and Mattie Kennys Dublin continue to flatter to deceive. They've got an odd good result but overall have been consistently down near the bottom of the pile of liam McCarthy teams since he took over.
Great result for westmeath backing up the previous week. Laois under Cheddar I'm afraid was never going to work. Fresh ideas and a new man needed - relegated or not.

It's been a poor year for tipperary. If Tipp lose today then all 5 counties will have beaten Tipp this year.
However, I'm looking forward to today. I was really hoping for a limerick win last weekend to ensure Clare would go at full strength to give Tipp a slight chance of a miracle! However the confidence is up in Clare and very much down in Waterford.
Having said that I'd take a Tipp win and performance today and I think we might get that. All the pressure is really on Cork - they handled it last week but I fully believe that was more about Waterford being poor than cork being good. I thought the effort some of the cork forwards put in in the first half was aa bad as I had seen. Suddenly they realised they were in a game then and it clicked for them. Shane Kingston should be the first name on the cork team sheet for me - yet amazingly his own father won't pick him half the time! Probably because he's direct.
Hopefully we will have a bit of an atmosphere in Thurles today and from a tipp perspective, hopefully Clare can help us generate some real excitement!
Looking forward to seeing what some of the young Tipp forwards can do against this Cork defence. Expecting big games from Kehoe and Forde and praying for a miracle!

Hard to score a goal if you're dragged down on each opportunity.
