Replying To Fionn:  "Some hurler alright, as was Cormac and Ciaran amongst many others.

Dont think Vinnies have enough to win it out tbh but as you say it would be nice for someone new to win it.

I have to say one of the best Dublin hurlers I have seen in the past years though was Conal. Unbelievable.
His best years were gone to football but even in his 30's he was still a formidable player.

I also think we have already seen the best of Danny unfortunately.

We just never seem to produce enough quality at the SAME time to get us to the next level, or be able to keep them playing hurling at the same time...."
As long as football is strong it will take a big proportion of the best hurlers. Not going to change and as long as it doesn't Dublin will never reach the top level,

Super news that Dessie and co are staying on for another 2years.

Hopefully it will have a ripple effect within the camp.

Including Pat Gilroy?

Two big games in football today and tomorrow. Would love to see Raheny make the final - nothing against Kilmacud, but be nice change and they've improved immensely this year in fairness. More more efficient up front and with Fenton on form they can at least give Crokes a game but hard to see them winning. 4/1 is about right.

Think bookies and punters might have gotten the other semi tomorrow between Boden and Judes wrong. Boden 2/5 and 5/2 Judes. Not in my book I have to say. I sincerely hope Boden do win as Judes are tearing the bottom out of it with imported county lads. Ridiculous that this be happening in Dublin.

I'd say so, Gilroy and Farrell very close friends. I see Fenton also saying JackMc is also on board. If there are no retirements then with Jack having a comeback season under his belt, hopefully Murchan going injury free (badly hampered with injury this season), Lee Gannon coming into his prime and especially Basquel finally getting the monkey off his back and playing like we know he can, then I believe we could have a stronger outfit going into championship next year after a series of Div 1 league games.

So far so good with Raheny at HT.
Hope they can keep it going...

You are spot on about Judes.
Madness carry on....
Hope Boden stuff them...

Raheny doing really well at half time. Having to work hard for their scores though so will be interesting to see if their energy and aggression levels hold up, Walsh must still be out after his encounter with Johnny Small the last day.

Walsh on for second half. Looks like Hannibal Lector! Maddest looking face guard ever.

Raheny need to refocus now for Extra Time after missing 2 glorious goal chances to finish off the game, and only scoring 1pt and then a sucker punch at the end by Crokes...

Went to Penalties after ET 5-4 to Crokes (2-15 to 2-15 AET)

A point each in injury time of Extra Time to force the dreaded shootout....

1970 was their last appearance. Without a Final Appearance since then for Raheny - absolutely gutted for them tbh...

What a performance by the underdogs tonight....

Really had the game won in normal time but didnt convert those 2 late goal chances and should not have conceded that late Crokes goal right at the end.

If it was horse race on exchange they were 0.01. Four glorious chances to put it to bed, and then standing watching a 30 yard pile driver beat them into net.

Mind you, Mannion was blessed to get that free at the end of e/t. Minimal contact with his jersey if at all, Fantastic match.

Great commitment shown by Dessie

He bloody deserves it too.

I rewatched the final recently, Dessie and co got an awful lot right.

Glad to have been proven wrong. Boden hammered the daylights out of them despite going to sleep for third quarter and allowing it back to 4. Ironically Judes only woke up when they brought on three of their players who have been with them since underage, May that be a lesson, perhaps....

Very dominant display by Boden today.

On form they should beat Crokes. One last hurrah for MDMA.... hopefully they win it.

Should be a cracker of a final.

Was surprised how good they were, Fair enough they faded and misfired for a while but look really strong. Basquels are a menace.

Should be good final.. Hard to call.

Lads who do you fancy from what you've seen to date across the championship that might push to get into the League panel and maybe game time

I think everyone in the country wanted Raheny to do it

Why have Jude's got so many outsiders? Would they not have enough of their own or are they taking in outside lads to stay up senior?

That's the whole point. They do, and they brought three local lads on including Danny Suthcliffe who almost dragged them back into it.

Cluxton refused to play senior with Parnells when they were at that game. He kicked junior instead to stand by his friends. That ended badly too. They never won anything. Nor will judes.
