Need a win today badly. Also need a performance but win is a lot more important. Would be a major setback if we end up in relegation after the progress made over the last 4 or 5 years. Lu abu.

Got the win that's all that matters. Played good in patches but let them back in game ant the end when we looked like we sealed it. Sam playing his best football in years. Injuries mounting up is a worry.

A well deserved win in which wee badly needed. If wee had lost that match against Down I feared wee would get relegated. Another win should secure Division two for another year.

How many points will need to qualify fur Sam this year through the league? A Leinster Final appearance is far from guaranteed. Ollie.

No way of knowing. 6th place probably will be OK for Sam. But if Down are relegated and Kildare and Clare are the two promoted teams from Division 3 and both of them get to their provincial final then the 6th team will lose out. So you could have a scenario where a Leinster semi-final between Louth (if they come 6th) and Kildare is a play-off for Sam.

The only play off for Sam is the All Ireland Final and no more than ourselves you won't be within an asses roar of that… Don't be getting too hung up on having to qualify for the All Ireland proper… only filling in numbers for the big guns to wallop..

6 points should be enough Greengrass. The only time Louth reached 3 Leinster finals in a row was back in the 1910s. Kildare look good this year.

Forever Moaning. You can't handle the truth. People that always moan are people that are never happy.

Hopefully another 2 points tomorrow. Should be a good crowd. Monaghan won't be easy but from what I read they beat a poor Cork team last Saturday in Iniskeen.

Very poor first half got roughed out of it.
Second half was a good bit better. I'm hopeful enough against Cork and with a win there we'll be in the same position as last year. Also a lot of injuries so with a few players back Keenan, Downey in the forwards you wouldn't know Delaney cup might be coming yet. :)

Absolutely caned in the first half , all over the shop, some excellent scores by Monaghan.
One score early in first half, left corner of the pitch , kicked over so sweetly. Dont think ive seen a score as good in all my ears knocking about the gaelic grounds.
Their goalie is a joy to watch , so easy in his kicking long range.

Second half great battle and fight, but leaving everything too late as usual.
Conor grimes starting to annoy me, all huff and bluff but not delivering like he had started to.
Some of his kicking up in the air, headless chicken stuff.
Paul Matthews gave a great account of himself when he came on.

50/50 battle in Cork in a fortnight , could go either way.

The tide of optimism/ momentum we were gaining is receding a bit, but staying up in Division 2 is the goal.

Full house on the north road yesterday , great to see.

Funniest part of the day, the singing of the national anthem, he seemed to make up his own version/words of it, some howls of laughter on the bank.

Given a lesson in 1st half yesterday, on how to deliver ball fast into forward line and get scores when it's one on one. We don't do this, we all have a solo and lateral pass out the field and then head in when opposition have everyone back. We could haven taken a lot more off when we made the 4 subs. Injuries taken their toll on us. Hopefully Cork are that bad, that we will get two points. What we also learned yesterday and v Roscommon is that we are an average mid table Division 2 team at best.

That a bit harsh. We were poor enough V Roscommon and we're competitive throughout

Yesterday we were off the pace completely in the first half. Much improved in the second although we were missing 33% of a starting team.

McDonnell, Lennon, Downey, Kennan and Corcoran all out yesterday and imo apart from Sam and Tommy, Lennon, Downey and Kennan have been our best players for a year or 2 now, and McDonnell has been excellent since he came back

I see LMFM reporting a request for the Meath game to be switched to Drogheda from Inniskeen.

What you reckon ? Will it happen ?

Navan not a crazy suggestion. I don't think it would effect louth too much at all. Inishkeen a nightmare for all involved bar a few areas and drogheda a kip.

Can't see why not

What was the attendance in Inniskeen last year 4/5,000 for both Cork and Meath games

Was as many as that in Drogheda Sunday and was loads of room
