Yes safe travels to all travelling down. It would be good to get a good Louth support there because you would think not much from Cork will go. Any predictions?

That's the plan Ollie. Hope Forever is not mislaid down there.

Hopefully Louth won't be overawed playing in a proper stadium compared to Ardee….

Your awful bitter aren't ye. Would you not go 1 day without saying something negative and maybe that would make people like you a wee bit more.
Just a bit of friendly advice. :)

Nothing negative about it just the truth… Funny how people always roll out the word 'negative' when they know they are wrong but won't admit it…lol

Terrible day. No consistency with team selections or substitutions in each game. How Sean Reynolds was taken off at 1/2 time is beyond belief, anyone of the other forwards bar Sam could have been hauled off, but Sean was perhaps the easy option but what does that do to his confidence. Not adapting to new rules, ball has to move fast from defence to forward, our build ups too slow. Not looking forward to Meath next Sunday but you get out of football what you deserve.

There was a lot of expectation going into this years league and rightly so imo. Promotion was a realistic target but unfortunately the injury list has taken its toll. We've been desimated by injury. Over the course of this league we've probably had close to 20 lads injured. Going into the Roscommon game we had 10 lads out and then lost Craig Lennon that day. We never recovered from that and lads just haven't reached the level of fitness because of that, it was a case of patch and repair. We need Monaghan to win to retain div 2 status for next season and it's a case of the championship will be what it will be. It takes a few seasons for a team to peak and we peaked in 2024.
Tactically we seem all over the place..I wonder who is actually making the decisions on the line...but again team selection has been limited because of injury

I said it before the start of the league that the new rules would be a disaster for Louth and they are, can't adapt at all to them, kick outs are a massive problem and very slow build up,I think we have given away 6 frees for defenders crossing halfway line,1 yesterday when it was 6.3 and we wer in for goal, they kicked a 2 pointer instead down the other end,won next kickoff and scored again, game over.........

Its gonna be an Odd weekend next weekend. Louth could lose and stay up and if they win could get relegated if ourselves and Down win plus Cork lose to Cavan. All three teams would have 6 points and it would go to scoring difference. At the moment Louth have the worst scoring difference. If Down lose to Monaghan we would stay up on the head to head. It's gonna be squeaky bum time.

Very bad day. Got roughed out of it in the middle which has happened in most of the games this year. It looks like we've gone backwards from last year but you wouldn't know with craig lennon ciaran Keenan and casey dan corocran we could still have a very successful championship. If we want to win a Delaney Cup or get to another quarter final we need more physicality to win the breaking ball. Good to see Downey back with a very good score. Random enough to take Sean Reynolds off as I thought he had been going well. We should still stay up but wee need to get to the Lensteir final to stay out of Tailteann cup. Hopefully wee get a good crowd in Iniskeen and carry a bit of momentum into the championship.

Yesterday looked tactically poor by the management team. We were trying to play the exact same way as in Inniskeen last summer, despite the new rules. The new rules reward ball winning midfielders and quick ball into the full forward line but we haven't copped on to that in six matches. We had zero platform in midfield and the insistence on moving the ball slowly up the field means our attacks go nowhere. We are heading for division 3 unless Monaghan do us a favour next weekend.

Defense has to be sorted first. We are defending inside and up to the arc allowing shots at the post under no pressure from the arc or at times inside. I blame management for this as it must be coached to defend to the arc and no more. Monaghan and Cork defended 5 meters outside the arc and did so with aggression. Monaghan would batter you if you passed the 45 l. We are half heartedly doing it resulting in shots been taken without pressure. There's no intensity in the defense and if we continue to do so, each game we play will be over by halftime.

I went to back Cavan to win the All Ireland in hurling and Paddy Power told me Cavan don't even have a hurling team. Is this true Foreverright?

Probably our worst performance for five years. Hard to understand what's going on. Agree that Sean Reynolds was by no means the first player who deserved to be replaced at half time. Neither was Lenny Grey. Staying negative the ref was the worst I saw this year but he was not the real cause of our defeat.

We are not playing to convince supporters that we want to win. To win you must score and take every chance to score. Kicking the ball across the field when you are behind by double digit scores is useless. Call a spade a spade. Letting the opposition win most of the kick outs unchallenged is hearth breaking. Making one great save is good but an awful lot more is needed. I know we'd be disgraced without Sam's scores but I think he should try more from outside the arc.

I accept we have a lot of injuries but we should be doing better especially in the first half. We are worn out by half time. Have we too many non - Louthers on the line. Would love to see men like Shane Lennon, Paddy Keenan, J.P.Rooney there. Feel they might lift the lads.

Long journey home from a desperate game gives you too much time to think .Roll on Inniskeen.
We must get to Sam

Not true…. Just operated this season at a higher level than Louth ( wouldn't be difficult ) but even you wouldn't be stupid enough to lose money that way….!

I hope Louth can do Cavan a favour and beat Meath on Sunday…. providing we look after our own end of things…!
