As If louth will play their home game in navan. Droghedas not the best of grounds but would be better than Navan. Why would we change from inniskeen 2 of the best days in the last 15 years for louth gaa have been in Iniskeen.

You seems to know a lot about Drogheda. We definitely don't want people like you coming to our town. See ye in Iniskeen, and Tery not to get lost on the way!!

Poor first half from Louth. That was some scoring from Monaghan. 1-19 in one half. Much better from Louth in the second half. I was glad Cavan beat Down. It's still in our hands to stay up. It's our 6th time playing Cork in 3 years. Wee have won 3 matches and they have won 2.

If Louth have no ground fit to host county games then they should forfeit home advantage until they get their house in order…. Ridiculous in this day and age …

Maybe if you didn't win an All-Ireland for over 70 years that forfeit should apply too..

No that's daft… history can never be changed and has nothing to do with the fact that a county hasn't got a ground fit to hold matches… Are Louth still in the Stone Age or what… ? Every county should have a stadium with a 10k capacity at least or simply play all matches away …

Obsessed with this louth thread are you? There was no problem with grass banks for 100 years but now your saying a county should forfeit home advantage because of having grass banks. If Cavan had a grass bank I'm sure you'd be saying it was fine.

No chance of finding a grassy bank in Cavan in this time of year. Only mud banks. Was in Drogheda last Sunday and enjoyed the occasion. Great atmosphere.

Grass banks went out with Noah's Arc… get with the times or are Louth still in the dark ages..?

So by your logic Letrim, Wicklow, Longford, Antrim, London and New York should not play their matches at home because their home capacities are less then 10,000. Even Parnell Park in Dublin has a capacity of less then 10,000. Well done Einstein!

And by the nonsense that he slabbers on about no County needs a 10,000 capacity ground as there are very few people going to games. Of all the wafflers on this forum he definitely takes the biscuit. Hopefully one day soon he will break out and attend his first GAA game. Then again the fiver Under 16 charge to games will probably make sure he never sees a game live. Old rules or new rules, a Louth/Monaghan derby was always going to have a great atmosphere in Drogheda. A great little spot for a league game. An added bonus we didn't have to listen to Louth people slabbering on about their successes from 70 or 80 years ago. An enjoyable game played in the right spirit and enjoyed by both sets of knowlelgable supporters.

What is ridiculous is the amount of ridiculous statements you post on Hoganstand.

All these grounds could and should be upgraded to be able to accommodate 10k .. not let run into disrepair or in Louths case non existent… Parnell park has a capacity of just over 10k but Dublin rarely play there anymore… I was in Ardee last year and that place is a joke… barely fit to hold a club game not talk about a county game…

I suppose you were expecting to get mileage from the Gaa travelling to Ardee from Cavan. Maybe if Hoganstand brought in a rule that it's €1 for the year it would get rid of you and many other users who only come on the forum to complain. Maybe instead of worrying about Louths pitches you should put more effort into worrying about how much Cavan are going to lose by in the opening round of the Ulster Chamoionship against Tyrone.

At least it's a proper championship unlike the Leinster farce…. proven by the fact that a no hoper like Louth can somehow make it to back to back Finals… before getting whacked…If they played in Ulster they would never win a match let alone get to a final…
