Thought we done reasonably well against a very decent Roscommon team. Some days the balls go over the bar more than wides but not yesterday. You can't have shooting accuracy like yesterday and expect to win. Real positive was the fight back to the very end. The new rules make for much more exciting games though and I'd rather lose in a game like yesterday than win a game 0-0-08 to 0-07 which was happening under the old rules.

The 3up/back rule will be un-manageable in club games. There will be murder on the sidelines as there's no way one ref can police that especially when you add in the mix games played in long grass and poorly marked pitches.

It was great to be back in Drogheda and see a full bank this early in the year.

Replying To PK57:  "It's impossible to judge Louth properly with the amount of players missing at the moment. We were without Ryan Burns, Dan Corcoran, Ciaran Keenan, and Conor Grimes yesterday. While in the squad overall we are without Anthony Williams, Bevan Duffy and Ciaran Byrne(presumably all injured). We are expecting players only out of U20 level to win us games against a team like Roscommon who are the best team in the division."
Hadn't saw that one but if true then we would have had another point. Anything could have happened. Don't think Joey was at same game. New rules mean a big lead can be hauled back quickly. This nearly happened yesterday and also last week.. Good that our lads are fighting. I'd have good hopes for them.

Roscommon much better team on Sunday, fully deserved the win, wont criticize our lads too much , still a few missing and craig lennon early departure a blow.

Definitely need to beat Cavan or we will be looking down the table instead of upwards in my opinion.

One thing i will say about Sunday, our goalie making more bad kick outs/lack of concentration, cost us 4-6 points, similar in Mullingar the week before.
Great shot stopper, but collectively as a team and him , must improve.

Rossies the better outfit and good luck to them, they'll get promoted. Our lads battled well and with so many missing players its great to see so many young lads and new players getting a run out. Cavan is a must win for sure and they badly need a win on their home patch.
