Replying To The keeper:  "My own clubman is mates with Bonner, so i expect him to say that and back Bonner.

Fact is the regression and rot started under Bonners watch. And you cant handle that.

Fact is we got relegated in 2013 under mcguinness, but our supporters had every faith in him to get us back, because he was a proven winner.

Being in Div 2 doesn't worry me to much. Its the mess the county board is doing with everything the last few seasons.

Bonners extension, the media black out, paddy carrs appointment, the lacey disaster.
Its one disaster after another.

I think if you had a survey now on what the supporters want, it would read, more accountability, more openness and transparency.
And 99% of supporters would want mcguinness and 1% (rorysboys) would want bonner."
Nothing stopping him going for the job( Mc Guinness). We don't expect nothing this year but we could be well ahead of most teams by next year..you say being in division 2 doesn't worry you , well it worry's the people I was speaking to last Sunday after the game. Were in dangerous territory.. Mc Guinness gave a podcast last week saying he wanted to help, we'll the time is now.. the time for talking is done we need action.

I thought you weren't replying to me anymore? So if i am the Laois poster, as you seem convinced I am, you have just contradicted yourself.

Listened to all of that podcast. Highlighted the mess and basically pointed the finger of fault at the county board.

Reading between the lines of what he said was he'd have time to help out in coaching capacity but was unlikely to have time for the hands on 24/7 management role and the chances of the county board bringing him in after he called some home truths on them?

Fergus McGee was telling people in Letterkenny at the Galway game that he was going to let Lacey go from the academy the following night. This was before the executive meeting where they accepted Karl Lacey's resignation reluctantly. The decision was made before the meeting which sums up our county board.

He wants a full time role in soccer coaching/managing after getting the Pro license. Mentioned he was doing some work with the FAI.

It would be better to have someone with a bit of journalistic neutrality chair Donegal's only GAA media show. He co-managed Eunans with McGeehin and did charity work with him outside of that for african aid. It's easy to see where his loyalties lie and it's sadly seeped into his radio show.

Yet some posters claim they are not friends.

Devenney was on with Wooly Parkinson earlier and again, nothing negative said about the county board. In fact, from memory he said that "this is a new board". Pardon my ignorance as I genuinely don't know but I thought there were only 2 positions that changed recently, one of them being the chair?

Gas man suddenly reappears after being called out. Brains to burn. Is it just the 2 accounts I wonder?

As I said I'm not saying they should be the next management team, I would try and get them together to see this year out and steady the ship. I can tell you this bonner, lacey. Mc Guinness and Murphy are not at loggerheads . What's your reason for saying if I knew anything about Donegal football politics I would know that won't happen. I await your response"
How do you know I'm outside the county?? Yes I'm from Cavan but 30 years living in Donegal and well entitled to speak.

Apparently Carr resigned because the players handed a letter to the county board stating they were concerned with the direction the team was going.

Poor from these players, lack of courage, reflection of how some of them have been playing ... if u have a problem with someone, grow a pair and say it to his face. Don't be away writing letters.

I am not personally involved in either side of this debacle but I am going to call bull on that post. Stupid comments like that are part of the reason that Donegal GAA is in the positions it's in. Just for ***** and giggles, did you hear Fergus McGee say this, did someone tell you directly that he said that, did you hear third, fourth or fifth hand or did you just make it up?

You should check our Ocean FM's Donegal GAA podcast as well.

Regarding the meeting last night….clubs refused to accept what the chair wanted, a statement of support following recent media attacks, and eventually got to the business of getting Lacey back. A statement will be released saying that Lacey has absolutely done nothing wrong, and that Counry Committee want him back immediately. A delegation to be formed, Chair, Central Council Delegate (clubman of Lacey's) and a former Development Officer will liaise with Karl.

Massive news from meeting last night. Croke Park were in contact with county board yesterday and they are going to come in and do a full audit of how Donegal GAA have been conducting their business.
If we had proper leadership, there would be no need for this, but this will get to the bottom of things. My opinion is we are only scratching the surface of the on-goings of our county board.

Excuse my ignorance but am I right in saying Karl Lacey fell out with the head of Coaching? Who is extremely well qualified?

Also ballsy move from senior players to oust Paddy Carr. Let's see how they respond.

So, after the meeting last night, and another statement full of padding, it appears that the Official line is that we want Karl to come back.

Please Karl come back, all is forgiven. And if you come back and clear this up, people will hopefully forget about the other debacle.

Signed: No, unsigned again.
