Replying To rorysboys:  "Aaron Doherty replaced Stephen Mc menamin for the Armagh game if you were at it you would know he didn't play in defence. Just because you replace a defender doesn't mean you play in defence.. the lack of knowledge from some of the posters is unreal. To answer another few posters Ryan Mc Hugh plays most of his football in defence, wasn't that where he played for Kilcar last week. As for Mc Hugh Mc fadden what game did he play centre back for Donegal as for mogan . The only time he played in defence is when he is tracking his marker. A wee brush up lads on your football knowledge would be welcome lads . Most of you boys wudnt last long among real supporters debating Donegal football."
Rorysboys you just can't seem to grasp the point, I said Neil mcgee on the bench and who was Stephen mc menamin replacement. This past few yrs we've had maybe 3 o 4 natural defenders starting and a lot of light forwards pluging gaps dosnt work against the bigger teams sir.

I'm sick saying at the moment we don't have enough sticky defenders. Name your 6 defenders for next year. I said it already that Doherty did not replace Mc menamin positional wise. . Surely you can see that.

Therefore there's the problems mcmenamins position wasn't replaced properly. Happened all two often take lads into the panel and leave them sitting on the bench I could name 3 backs alone could of filled that position. End off.

Donegal matches canceled due to the explosion at the Petrol Station. R.I.P. to the poor victims. Sigh.

Yeah agree. We didn't have out and out defenders hence why we had to double down and play attackers in our backs
Mogan, Ryan, Eoin etc.

Here's 3 for you rorysboys who were available for the Armagh game N mcgee Daire O B and Mark Curran. We persistently went with half forwards this past few yrs at half back and kept getting overrun against bigger physical teams, glenties have had the meanest defence this past 5yrs but for some reasons we couldn't intricate any of them into county defence. Give up the ghosts of bonners tenure Rory and hopefully the next man in will work with having a proper defensive system in place.

In addition to Neil McGee and Daire O'Baoill named by Tyrion, there other defenders on the bench against Armagh were Paul Brennan, Jeaic McCeallbhui and Caolan McColgan.

We'll see you don't get that Mc menamin was replaced by aoran Doherty but Doherty did not play in defence. Need to be at the games to figure this out. You obviously wernt. I rest my case. Mark Curran was not in the match day squad.

FYI I was at the game rorysboys, jez are you that thick something has to be explained to you over and over, here goes for the last time, I've said we've persisted with light half forwards trying to do backs jobs this past few yrs when we all can see it didn't work. You say we've no sticky backs there were lads taken into the panel and left sitting on the bench when the opportunity came up and got no reward for training all Yr no wonder we can't keep a panel. Jez would you read the responses and give a educated reply with looking at it all your way man. Your like the odd one at the game nobody wants to stand beside cause god know what you'll come out with next. Mark Curran wasn't named the last game but was fit do you think he'll come back next Yr doubt it. There's loads of lads round the county can do a backs job if they were encouraged so Hopefully next management will do that. Tbh last management have driven alot of support away and next manager will do well to bring it back.

You have all the answers. You don't drive good supporters away you only drive fair weather supporters away. We know the category you come under. For the final time Aaron Doherty did not play in defence versus Armagh.

What are the thoughts on the rescheduling of the county final for Saturday at 2.15? I would say a lot of people will be unhappy about it. It might not be suitable with people working. Was any reason given why it could not be palyed on Sunday?

Came on to ask the same question. Seems crazy that senior final moved to Saturday afternoon and Junior finals on the Sunday. There must be some reason for it.

Playing on Saturday mid-day is just about the worst possible time, if they even played it Saturday evening under the lights it wouldn't be too bad, I don't know who makes these decisions but they are seriously lacking in common sense imo.
Anyway I suppose this all pales into insignificance with the tragedy the county and the people in Creeslough are living through, it's hard to comprehend how they will cope at all with reality of what just happened.

Don't be on here often but whenever I do it's just repetition of how Rorysboys is the only Donegal person that attends matches!

Obviously for the money lockjaw. I see tg4 sport are showing it now live on Saturday. Not surprising really from our county board. Putting our reserve final on at 12 noon too. Crazy decision. My own son is involved in that. Will have to leave the house at 10 in morning.

Whatever about the day and time I think it might have been better to put it back for another week.I am not sure people are ready for it yet.
