Replying To tidytownman:  "Obviously for the money lockjaw. I see tg4 sport are showing it now live on Saturday. Not surprising really from our county board. Putting our reserve final on at 12 noon too. Crazy decision. My own son is involved in that. Will have to leave the house at 10 in morning."
Can I ask where you saw that Tg4 sport is showing the game?. Is it on main channel or their YouTube?

I see Amber Barratt did the county and the country proud last night. Fair play to her. It was a great finish.
Got me thinking about her brother Kane. He was a very good underage player and was impressive for Milford in the Championship even if results weren't going their way. Would he be an option for the future county manager to look at? Or has that ship sailed? He was in the same age group as Langan and Jason McGee so age wouldn't be an issue.

It's on our Naomh Conaill Facebook page. Tg4 sport are showing it. I'm assuming that is the YouTube channel.

The timing of the game is a joke and yet again the county board thinking of nothing more than their pockets.
I have said it before the sooner the likes of John Haran get on the county board the sooner we start going in the right direction. The way he promotes St. Eunans, O'Donnell Park and the GAA as a whole is brilliant .

Was in the development panel last year but never got a run.

Has been very impressive for Milford last two seasons. Can't understand how he didn't get a run at some point last year.

Excellent player, strength, pace and knows where the net is, I would say any new manager would definitely be having a look.

Definitely feels like it's too soon, very hard to think about a football match this week. Its unfair on the reserve players as well having to play at noon. Dunno why they couldn't have waited another week, especially since there's a few weeks until the Ulster club championship. The LGFA have postponed all their games this weekend and are meeting next week to decide on them.

For sure. Murphy and McBrearty are nearing the end and we don't exactly have a conveyor belt of scoring inside forwards. Be good to get the likes of Barratt involved in the early stages on 2023 at least to see if he could cut the mustard.

Is it just me or is there is a very underwhelming feel about this county final? I think after the Creeslough tragedy things are still very raw and it feels inappropriate to be getting wound up about about a football match, which is a very trivial thing in the grand scheme of things.

I see the organisers of the Fómhair Festival in Gaoth Dobhair have postponed the event until a later date. It's a sensible, empathetic call & well done to the organisers for their sensitive approach. There will be time to enjoy life again soon, but as a mark of respect to those who sadly perished a sombre period is apt and undertstandable.

Definitely underwhelming feeling about it, feels too soon to be playing it especially with the last of the funerals only taking place tomorrow as well. The timing is strange for other reasons as well.. on a Saturday in ballybofey, probably the busiest shopping time in the town.

Heavy enough conditions and windy as well but reckon Eunans by 6 or 7.

Conditions not ideal but a very poor spectacle.
No real variety from what we've seen over the last few years. Neither team will care if they get their hands on the trophy though.

Harsh call on SOD there. Yellow at most.

Tough ask for Eunans second half down to 14 & against the breeze.

No better team than NC to manage a game.

Fair play to the men from Glenties. Dogged as always. Thompson a class apart.

All you can do is tip the cap to Naomh Conaill. What a club! Everyone writing them off & they go & prove everyone wrong again. Yes they got a bit of luck with O'Donnell being harshly sent off, but when the fat was in the fire they didn't panic. All their experience came to the fore, and in Ciaran Thompson they had that bit of x-factor to get the scores to see them home.

Comhghairdeas Naomh Conaill!
