We'll need to go out and prove it in 2023.

Getting ahead of myself here but, If Rork Kavanagh does indeed become county manager, Eunans win on Sunday & then go on and win Ulster what will happen?

Derry have better backs then Donegal and probably stronger in midfield

Donegal have probably more in the forwards

County season doesn't start till? November? Yeah suppose it would a close call between one finishing and other ending. Glenties could easily solve that issue this weekend!!

Hearing Eunans have new manager ready to go and he will be in place for their ulster campaign next month.

I think they'll be in the All-Ireland semi-final then Lock, lol. couldn't resist....
It's hard to know what arrangement they'll come up with in that case but it's not insurmountable anyway, it would be great to see our county Champions doing well in Ulster whichever of them it is.
Going against my better judgement here but the more time goes on I think NC will give it a right rattle next Sunday,
being largely written off and underdogs will suit NC them to the ground, Eunans will need to play very well to beat them.

If that's the case you'd imagine it would be David O'Herlihy?

A few posts previous you said if we win Ulster we'd be in the quarter final, so you were wrong there as you often are.
We should be charging you for the free education you are getting here. aka schooled.

Yeah and the two clubs have had a fantastic rivalry ever since Naomh Conaill emerged as serious contenders in the mid-00s or so. They'd love nothing better than to beat Eunans this weekend and while it might be a bit of an upset if they did, it would by no means be a shock.

I believe Eunas will prevail but I cannot see it being as comfortable for them was it was last year.

Rory should be a good option for Donegal especially if he has Karl and Frank as part of the team. Maybe a bit light on experience but has done well with Eunans and I feel like all the players will be all in with those 3 on board.

You would imagine he will be bringing a few more Eunans boys into the squad but I'm sure he will be looking at a lot of players especially at the start.

Says the man who says it doesn't Matter as long as we are in the last 16. Is that your ambition now , you said last year that we should be making semi finals. What changed this year. As I said before an Ulster title and a semi final place anything else is a failure especially with the talented squad we have.

On holidays at the moment and missing the build up but back on Saturday. Yes, definitely, we are underdogs and that suits us. On another note, it's some achievement to have 3 senior teams contesting the 3 finals this year.

Better backs yes. Think we are even around midfield.

The scenario is foolsgold we havnt been playing backs at the back this past few seasons mostly half forwards at best think that will change under new management and also when the injured backs we have get back to full fitness again.

Care to expand on we weren't playing backs at the back this last few years.

It is going to be interesting to see how managers approach this years All Ireland series. We could lose all 7 league games and get knocked out in first round of the champioship and still only need to win one game in the group stages and a play off game to be in the Quarter Finals. There is little to be gained from winning provincial title if you are in Division 1.

The keyword is backs. You named one example. . And he wasn't there last year. Yea he was there 3 years ago and only for the injury situation he probably wudnt have played there. Too bad we haven't named a manager yet..

I'd add Ryan McHugh and Peadar Mogan in that bracket as well, not natural defenders. Hugh Mcfadden has played CHB before as well.

Aaron Doherty replaced Stephen Mc menamin for the Armagh game if you were at it you would know he didn't play in defence. Just because you replace a defender doesn't mean you play in defence.. the lack of knowledge from some of the posters is unreal. To answer another few posters Ryan Mc Hugh plays most of his football in defence, wasn't that where he played for Kilcar last week. As for Mc Hugh Mc fadden what game did he play centre back for Donegal as for mogan . The only time he played in defence is when he is tracking his marker. A wee brush up lads on your football knowledge would be welcome lads . Most of you boys wudnt last long among real supporters debating Donegal football.
