Replying To Tirchonaill1:  "That would be a good young management team for sure, a fresh approach and new ideas will hopefully get more out of the players we have and hopefully get us back to at least an All-Ireland quarter final next year. That would be progress.
Try and play more attacking pressing football and leave Murphy inside and swing in plenty ball for him.
I'm not really sure how the structure is next year, anyway I think our focus should be more on the All-Ireland series and less on Ulster."
What are you on about. Our only hope of silverware next year is Ulster, and you say our focus should be on making a quarter final. Win Ulster and sure you are in a quarter final. The mind boggles.

Yea it's an issue alright for him as it was also with Stephen Cluxton.

2 of the greats of the game.

Thankfully the rest of his game offsets the odd mistake- his kickouts alone are worth any entry fee to watch.

He's nearly like our quarterback / playmaker..

Wouldn't swap him for any keeper in the country….

Anyone at the game feel it was as one sided a match as me - obviously I'm blinkered?

That was a very comfortable semi final and was nowhere near as close as the scoreboard played out.

Easily 6+ point game..

People always comment about the panel we have etc but most of that is absolute nonsense- the biggest asset we have in our favour is workrate which is incredible in this current side abs not matched anywhere…

one small criticism of the game at the weekend, neither team seemed to have anyone to hit a 45. Kilcar hit theirs short, backwards and Eunan's sent Patton up to hit one but he looked completely uncomfortable and nearly sent it out for a sideline.

Rich coming from you. Boasting before a game of hammering Kilcar. Please stop talking nonsense. No time for people like you.

I haven't really been following much of the other championships around Ulster. I did hear Kilcoo got a good scare in Down and almost got put out. How is the Derry championship going? It would be good to see the Donegal champions make a good fist of it. Our record is pretty poor with Gaoth Dobair in 2018 our only winners in a very long time.

Hi Donegal_abroad: The ticket sellers were proven right.

Hi Lockjaw: Semi finals in Derry this weekend. Slaughtneill and Glen Maghera avoided each other in the draw.

The mind boggles?? I'd say you are well used to that in fairness.
As I understand it winning Ulster and getting to the Ulster final only gets you into the 16 to compete for Sam,
as does finishing in the top 8 in the league, those 16 teams will compete in 4 groups of 4 for Sam Maguire, the quarter finalists will then come from those 4 groups,
It's a bit convoluted but we will get to understand it better as time progresses.
Winning Ulster does not get you int the quarter final. I'd imagine they will seed the Provincial winners so if they do you would likely avoid Kerry or Dublin in the group stage ,that would be one advantage to it, I'd still like to see us win the Anglo Celt again but it shouldn't be our main focus in the new format is my point.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out, something new had to be tried.
We need to be focussing on progressing to the quarter final stage at least, hopefully the new management whether it's Rory Kavanagh or whoever will get the most out of the talent we have in this county, I have no doubt we can do better than the last few years if we are set up and managed correctly.

Just interested in where posters would view us nationally now...this would be my honest take...
I think we're just about top 8. People might say we're better than Derry but until we go and prove it again they have the Anglo Celt to wave in our face.

Then you have a clutch of teams from 9-16 who could beat each other on any given day.

1. Kerry
2. Dublin
3. Galway
4. Armagh
5. Tyrone
6. Mayo
7. Derry
8. Donegal

9. Monaghan/Kildare/Roscommon/Clare
10. Meath/Westmeath/Cavan/Cork

I think Ulster will be ultra competitive next year. You'll have Derry, Armagh, Tyrone, Donegal and Cavan thinking they have a good chance. Monaghan are never easy beaten and keep an eye on what Laverty does with Down too. There are always good footballers in Down but over the recent past they've been in disarray. Laverty is very highly regarded.

I said last week Dungloe confident as they had Naomh Columba's number this past year or two. You asked me who saying that, I said it was the ticket sellers that told me. Can they push on now and win a senior within 5 years?

Doesn't really matter as long as we are in the 16 teams to compete for Sam and focus on that.
I think Dublin and Kerry are out on their own, top 2 let's say, there's a group of teams following that who could each beat each other on a given day. The crunch will come when they run into Dublin or Kerry at the latter stages,
I believe we are better and capable of more than we have produced in the last few years, but we have to produce it, hopefully RK if he comes in will get the most out of what we have.
I'm looking forward to a fresh start anyway. as long as we give it our best and play attacking football when we can and use Michael Murphy at FF.

We're ahead of Derry and Armagh. But depends on management. We have better players for sure

Are we not already in the last 16. And who ever wins the provincials will be kept apart in the round robin draw. Maybe I'm wrong but I seldom am.
