Weather for Saturday nights game looks very bleak with rain and a severe breeze. This will probably make the game a great leveler in my opinion. Could 'Mother Nature' stop the mighty Dubs lol. Looking forward to the game as it will be a cracker with capacity crowd and big physical hits between 2 heaveyweights. It will be a very close game. That is absolutely shocking, the touts will have a field day. I assume the die hard fans will get tickets from their clubs, or at least I hope so.

We want a dry day. Weather can change from day to day so I'll hope the sun is beaming come Saturday

Our club tweeted at the weekend that they would not be getting tickets. Not sure if that was just a decision by the club or whether the limited time made it impossible to organise. Heard people were queuing outside supavalu Claremorris from 7.30. Could that be correct?

It's now showing that there may not be any rain on Saturday. We might miss the rain. Rain will suit Mayo down to the ground.

I seem to recall us beating the mighty Kerry in 2015 final on a dirty wet day.

Season ticket holders had the option of buying up to four extra tickets yesterday, that facility was sold out by 7:00pm yesterday evening. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4541 - 06/08/2019 13:28:27 2221587 Link 2 |

The rain made no difference in 2015. Weather wise the worst All-Ireland I can remember

honestly looking at the chances both donegal and mayo coughed up at the weekend and that were missed by both sides, this Dublin team would have made hay, and for that reason I can see only winner this weekend and think it will be a comfortable Dublin win on their way to 5 in a row. totalrecall (Leitrim) - Posts: 1258 - 06/08/2019 14:12:16 2221605 Link 0 |

The Croker surface is totally different to any other pitch in the country. As Dublin play all their home and neutral games there they will be well used to any conditions. Mayo on the other hand rarely play in Croker on wet days. As to your silly diving slur, best to put it down as a schoolboy jibe.

Wrong the weather played a huge part. That scoreline flattered Kerry who were second best for the whole day. Had that been a dry day it would have been a lot more than a 3 point win for Dublin. westkerry (Kerry) - Posts: 1250 - 06/08/2019 14:44:25 2221625 Link 1 |

I think both teams were adversely affected by the weather but ...it's a matter of conjecture as to who was worse affected.

It'll definitely suit Aidan o Shea, it looked like he was hit by a sniper after donegal scored the penalty. Diving ######.

Looks like this will be a sell-out, no tickets no longer available online. Gaelic football is alive and well. football first (None) - Posts: 1259 - 06/08/2019 15:12:19 2221643 Link 0 |

More importantly where is the best place to buy a straw hat for the match? Asking for a friend...

There there, don't bottle it up you'll feel better......Mind you young Murphy is learning from the master, his theatrical dive for the penalty was reminiscent of big Aido at his best.

Time to wheel out the usual suspects. Too late for Ciaran on the Sunday game and Alan on the Indo. Maybe you could get young Charlie to give a quote or two to the tabloids. Mayo a bunch of divers headline would surely sell a paper or two in Dublin. And if it happened to influence the ref at the same time then it's a win, win situation. Not that the Dubs would try anything like that of course.....
