This will be a good one ,mayo will hit them at every opportunity and make it a nasty one they won't be in awe of Dublin and lose before the game is even started like a lot of teams ,it's been about 2 years since this Dublin team have had a tough game where they have had to dig deep and I think on Saturday they will have to dig deep coz mayo won't roll over. Mayo's only chance is to put in a flawless performance and not waste opportunities,they could of had another 1-07 atleast on the score board last night ,they can't afford that to happen next Saturday. Dublin are an awesome team and while they haven't been tested and pushed to the limit since the 2017 final against mayo they are more than capable of meeting that challenge. Just a shame that Mayo only have 7 day turnaround from a big match whereas Dublin could field their B team today and rest all the main men. Genuinely think Mayo would have a shout if there was a proper break between final super 8 game and semi final. GAA scheduling is lamentable in this respect. We haven't played one good game in this years championship, Dublin haven't played anyone. It's not a final, we do OK in semi finals and took the Dubs to replays in '85, '15 and beat them in '06 and '12. We're in bonus territory since we made the Super 8s, not a thing to lose. I'm still worried about our backs up against a pacy Dublin attack. But maybe Horan will give Dublin something to think about, here's hoping anyways.Should be a class game. May the best team win. I honestly think that firstly Dublin will win and secondly the margin will be what Dublin want it to be, unfortunately. A few reasons- dubs could field a second stream team today and so first team will be well rested; not that they were tired in the first place because of no test yet. Mayo just the week to recover from a tough hard game. Although mayo like Crocker, it's still a home game for dubs; no doubt home fixture helped mayo v Donegal. Mayo scoring ratios are nearly half Dublin. Dubs have had slow enough starts against Meath and cork in particular but can blitz a team in 5-10 mins- nearly when it suits them. This is down to fitness levels- where mayo will match them near enough- but also down to their bench. They have no real injuries either. Mayo bench even if all players were fit is not great. Bar Andy moran, there is no sub there to change a game. The only reason that Dublin mite not beat mayo by 10+ points is that they won't want to show their full hand to their final opponents. Dublin by 8-10" Playing every week when your winning is a great thing and much better then training, dublins first team have now gone three weeks without a competitive game which has to be a negative for them, I give mayo every chance. Mayo are going to put in an absolutely trojan effort and itll go down to the final quarter of the game.
