Not a hurling man (never played it,football for me)but WOW that was some game. The intensity from both sides was unreal but thought the Kilkenny forwards were relentless never stopped tackling.Shame there had to be a loser, tough on Limerick but their wides killed them.As for Kilkenny you can never write them off not with Coady in charge, reminds me of Sean Boylan gentleman on and off the pitch but ruthless with his teams.looking forward now to tomorrow's game would like to see Wexford get through,no offence to Tipperary good team as well.

Replying To tiobraid:  "I've watched it back and I'm not sure how you can say with any degree of certainty that it was a 65. I'm sure it'll be shown tomorrow night and it's likely that it was but the tv today didn't clearly show that so your only jumping to conclusions"
They slowed it down on sky.. It was quiet obvious that the ball hit the Kilkenny players hand or handle...balls flight changed significantly. Unfortunately in an amateur organisation you get amateur decisions.

Replying To tiobraid:  "Stop! Limerick got a lot more border lien decisions than kk and I'm not including the penalty in that comment."
This has nothing to do with frees that were or were not given, those decisions are open to an officials interpretation.
This is a stone wall black and white decision, ball hits opposition and goes for a 65, simples. And yet its missed by all officials on duty.
Its irrevelant how many wides limerick hit or how many "border line" frees they got. The bottom line is they were denied a chance to level the game with which would have been one of the last pucks in an All-Ireland Semi Final which would have went to extra time. Its absolutely shambolic that a team essentially is denied that chance by Mickey mouse sub standard officiating.
Kilkenny deserved to win hands down but limerick should have gotten that decision whether they were one point down or twenty points. Its non debatable.
Shame on Croke Park and their officials.

Probably incorrect on my behalf. To be fair it happened so quick and the contact was extremely minimal. I watched it back on tv and buffs snap chat and it wasn't overly clear so I'd have sympathy for the officials.
Also disgraceful abuse towards the officials on buffs snapchat at the end. Not good enough for adults with so many kids in attendance. I think it's time we take the soccer approach and ban an odd supporter

Replying To tiobraid:  "That has to be up their with some of kks biggest wins? You're defined by silverware maybe in kk but that one has to be one of the most satisfying?"
Up there Tiobraid. Wasn't really expecting it, just hoping to give Limerick plenty of it and let them know they'd have to earn their place in the final. When Dowling got the goal I thought we blew it but somehow held on.

A superb match, two great teams, such intensity, such speed, some of the reactions in forward play was sublime, to be able to make hair trigger decisions under such pressure was awesome it was brilliant to watch. It must be hugely satisfying for KK fans and conversely immense disappointment for Limerick. Cody has all the smarts and in Tj really what a player.

Limerick's third defeat of the championship so they're where they deserve to be .Out.Cody had Kilkenny ready today. The same can't be said for the Limerick Manager and his team.Limerick were always going to be hit with an early Kilkenny storm but they seemed unready and ill prepared. They were fortunate to be so close at half time which gave them the opportunity to regroup for the second half but in reality,Kilkenny were the better team again in the second half and should have won by more than a single point.Limerick are young and talented and they'll be back but I doubt they'll realise their potential with Kiely in charge.

This one was set up nicely for KK with no pressure on them at all. I thought they deserved it, but Limerick hit some awful wides. Whenever they were getting on top, they killed the momentum with a poor shot. They really struggled to pick off scores from play and I thought Kelly gave them a few soft ones.
If the last 2 years have shown us anything, it's that most of the top 6 or 7 can beat each other on any given day. It baffles me that analysts continue to say a particular team is way out in front, when all of the evidence has shown the contrary.

You are delighted for what exactly? you are just a wind up doll, no doubt you will be on here tomorrow with some insightful taunts for either Wexford or Tipp fans. Presumably that is what has you happy.

There are a few incidents I'd like to watch back when I get home. The thing was p....ed me off about the penalty watching it in real time was it looked soft as hell. There were no Limerick fans around us screaming for it like you'd expect for a really blatant penalty, they were as surprised as anyone.

The refs and umpires don't have slow motion replays.

Replying To Bon:  "Mickey mouse officiating cost limerick a chance to draw level, unbelievable stuff at this level of competition. What has to happen for the GAA to start officiating games with some level of professionalism. Time and time again we're seeing this farcical carry on. Enough is enough."
Ifs and Buts. Penalty was hit well inside 20 metre line..... Technology is there, it should be used.

Jumping to conclusions? It's as obvious a 65 as you're likely to ever see. Shocking positioning by the linesman and the umpire. Unacceptable at that level.

Thought Limerick were the better team. Kilkenny had a great opening, Limerick were better for the remainder of the match. Alot of wides, they should of won really. KK into another final, but the are average enough by their own standards.

In spite of that dodgy call at the end, the best and hungriest team won.

That's an enormous result for kk. You just don't get bad kilkenny teams. They're either very good or unbeatable.

Sad for limerick but they will be hungry again next year. Fantastic champions.

Outstanding game. Kilkenny deserved their win, Over the 70 minutes I thought Ref gave Limerick most of the tight calls, However none of what I say can excuse the fiasco at the end when Limerick should have had a 65 to draw the game.
These lads on both sides sacrifice so much it is an absolute disgrace that Limerick are knocked out by the failure of Officials to spot an obvious deflection of a ball for a 65.
I absolutely loved the game but feel sick at the injustice of the way it ended.
