Stop! Limerick got a lot more border lien decisions than kk and I'm not including the penalty in that comment.

What a game. The intensity absolutely immense. Kilkenny were on a mission from the outset. A deserved win. Class eternal & all that. Congratulations ! greysoil (Monaghan) - Posts: 965 - 27/07/2019 20:07:26 2217204 Link 1 |

Well Gillane was also fouling Lawlor when the penalty was awarded. TJ's legitimate handpass was pulled for a foul (result was a pointed free) and so we could go on for a while. Things probably balance on over the course of the game. Kilkenny were outstanding - Well done to them. Ban (Westmeath) - Posts: 1467 - 27/07/2019 20:09:29 2217208 Link 3 |
The Kilkenny fans on here are enjoying but they don't feel the need to insult people from Limerick.

Biggest talking point. People are saying KK deserved to win. Maybe. They played well for sure. So did Limerick. Limerick deserved a 65 for sure. That is Fact. They deserved a chance to equalise and play extra time. Not good enough at all. Kilkenny won't mind as they are in an All Ireland final and not their fault that all of the officials missed that.

Kilkenny the better team but controversy again taking away from a win. It is ironic that the same ref is in charge for an important wrong call, even though it is the lines man should have made the call. The umpire was behind the goal but if watching the trajectory of the ball, surly should have seen it change. Two things when at a vital stage of a game the officials should confer with each other when the team challenge a decision. For those who constantly object to the technology during this confab the replay reviewed and the call down made. At least allow one coach's ( or manager ) challenge in game. It was still a 65 to Limerick at the death though and I think the point he's making is that an officiating mistake like that should not be happening at All-Ireland semi Final level which is hard to disagree with.

No you are wrong. Free calls can be subjective. There is nothing subjective about who touched the ball last in this incident. Neither does it matter who the best team were during the match. If I had a fiver for every time we were the better team but lost I would be wealthy. This was not KIlkenny's fault who went out to win the game and did so. However wrong calls is not the way to decide games. Especially when there are ways to avoid them by assisting the officials not to be the goats. Technology is even used in tidily winks now but the GAA has to keep dragging their a-rse and people using all sorts of ridiculous reasons for it.

In all honesty it was a 1 point hammering...TJ Reid is unreal... county man (Limerick) - Posts: 1134 - 27/07/2019 20:28:59 2217223 Link 2 |
If we had taken all the chances we had Limk wouldnt need to worry about that 65 so no complaints here. Breezy (Limerick) - Posts: 1236 - 27/07/2019 20:29:18 2217225 Link 1 |
Agree to differ. I thought kk had to work very hard for frees today. Richie hogan was fouled multiple times and got nothing.

I missed that if that was the case but if it was why didn't the limerick players go mental? I don't remember too much of a reaction... it's the officials job to see it but you're always told as a player, if you're wronged like that under no circumstances is there a ball being pucked out after that

I agree. Obviously he's a young kid or an immature adult who probably was bullied as a child and knows no better. Unlikely to be his fault

I've watched it back and I'm not sure how you can say with any degree of certainty that it was a 65. I'm sure it'll be shown tomorrow night and it's likely that it was but the tv today didn't clearly show that so your only jumping to conclusions
