Replying To Timbertony:  "Some great supporters on here. Hope ye get a performance worth shouting about. That bench looks a lot stronger this weekend, Id expect lots of changes to the starting 15. Shane Reck, Molloy, Chin and Rory will surely start."
I was thinking the same when I saw it

Replying To Magpie2:  "Rory and Lee on the bench ???
Surely both will get some gametime.
Or maybe Rossi is accepting defeat and is resigned to the fact that we will be relegated.
Perhaps he is playing safe and wrapping the two lads in cotton wool before the round robin.
Looks like we are heading into the lions den on Sunday and another battering is on the cards.
I have not seen the Clare team yet but by all accounts they will be stronger than before.
All we can hope for is that the lads give it their best shot, play with passion and intensity and let Clare know that we are in no mood to be rolled over.
But can we,? will we? On recent form i dont think so.
Verdict-- clare to win by 11 points."

Pretty much their strongest team on paper minus ODonnell, Cleary and Leen (bench), the only thing that would give some hope is it's most of those lads first game of the year.

Regarding our own team I don't see how Molloy can't start and would have him starting ahead of his club mate at 7, I think he's the only defender we have named on the panel that could contain Fitzgerald some bit. If you remember back to the league game in the park last year he went to town in the first half on us. Would suspect Rory will start. Glad to see Jack back, his physicality will be badly needed around the midfield with Conlon and Malone starting.

Biggest worry is that a similar performance to the first half vs KK is not out of the realm of possibility. If players are labouring and as halfhearted as they were that evening it will be cause for concern for the rest of year.

Travelling from Dublin more in hope than anything just want to see a better performance. Hopefully it goes ahead. The ould lad is going and I know a few from Ross going too so we will have a few there.

Hoping for a decent performance and no more injuries. A bit of game time for chin Rory and reck. Going to be a tough day at the office I think

That's far from Clares strongest team. Apart from the lads you named Ryan, Mcinerney, Duggan are all missing, and Galvin and Meehan are out too I think.
Agree with the rest of your post, we are xxxxxx if we play like we did in the 1st half last time out.

Got given a copy of With Heart and Hand by Tom Williams a few weeks ago, just finished it today. The last 3-4 pages of that book I think basically sum up what it this county means to people and is still relevant today. It's hair-raising stuff.

Safe travels to all coming this way tomorrow.

Unlucky start but work rate is good but we're still looking low on confidence. I run of a few scores would be a tonic now

Because that's Cian Byrne's second straight red in 12 months, does he get an extra long suspension?

Much much better performance all around. Really great showing from our more established players who lifted those around them. As we grew in confidence we got better and better.

Red card was harsh from what I saw. He was pulling on the ball

Good to see the fight back in the lads, they were determined to win and saw it through! Worth the 3hr trip home

Didn't travel today due to other commitments but listened to it on radio.. a much improved performance by the lads and returning lads cleared helped our cause..goes to show when we have a ball winning half forward line makes a hell of a difference and still believe it's chins best position.. hopefully now we can get a bit of consistency before championship now and please get Shane Reck Liam Ryan and Mac back for championship

Good win delighted for those who made the journey. Clare looked rusty enough but we played well overall once we settled down and we were definitely a lot more direct with the ball than we were vs KK even with short passing. Running off the shoulder a lot more too.

Thought the worst after they went 1-2 to no score up, good performances from Lawlor and Hearne in particular along with Casey and Conor Foley. Stating the obvious but Chins presence in that team can't be understated. We probably could've won by more, thought we should've had a penalty in the first half too for the foul on Casey. Didn't really see the red card as it was down the opposite end and the sun was a curse on that side. Hopefully there's highlights on the tele tonight.

That performance can't just be a flash in the pan needs to be backed up next Saturday evening now.

We missed 4 or 5 scorable frees and Dunbar had a couple of misses that should have been converted. Thought Lawlor's two scores were class. Overall the team were a lot more vocal, Jack O'Connor was a real leader alongside Chin. Forwards got to the ball first which hasn't been the case.

Hurl with dog, get all the injured lads back, hope no-one gets injured, and then bring Patsy Molloy in at centre-back (Damien Reck to wing-back and Richie Lawlor to midfield) and we have the makings of a decent team

If all those things were to happen, I don't see any reason why we couldn't be capable of winning Leinster because I don't think we should fear Kilkenny, Dublin, or Galway (And could probably add Offaly to that list though) although at the same time, they're all probably saying the same about us

Don't think there's much between 1st and 5th in Leinster right now, Antrim have had a poor league to date, wouldn't want to be in any way complacent when we play them though as our last four Championship performances against Westmeath and Antrim have been turgid
