As if.. Rory deserves a chance in FBD.

Worth a shot and if he isnt up to it then so be it.

He wont worsen the standard at training by being brought in.

Anyone have an update on new faces in the panel for FBD?

Lads, I am booking the London trip and was wondering was there anyone planned out there?

Last time the Claddagh Ring had a big night with Galway bay FM etc it was great craic.

I'm hesitant to book accommodation in case whatever is on is the other side of the city.

Anyone have any info? Much appreciated!

I need to book something to get me through January!!

Not much sport on this weekend. A live stream of a friendly match before the fbd starts would make some money.

Club semi finals on this Sunday should be 2 good games

There's bound to be a few bolters this year as there always is, thankfully Galway don't need to many!

Its a very strong panel, several players stepped up last year and looked like they could excel at this level like McGrath, Sweeney, Maher & Hernon. If Galway can have a bit of luck with injuries then they won't be far away as was shown in 2022. Dublin or Kerry wouldn't have got to a final with the injuries Galway had!!

Its a very talented panel that won't be far away, ideally we can find a forward or two.

I'm definitely heading over with 5 or 6 others. There are a good lot on about travelling, only looking at travel / accommodation options now. I'll see what the consensus is on best places to meet, stay etc. I'll stick up some info here if I hear anything in the next week or two.

So a bit of news coming out over the last few days. Oran Burke/ Flaherty and a few others getting a chance in goal which can only be a positive, Flaherty will reclaim the number 1 jersey without too much hassle id imagine.

A host of Corofin youngsters including Jack McCabe in with the extended squad too.

Question marks over Hernon and Cooke but we knew that, good to see D'arcy back too, he had a decent Dublin club championship.

Any word if Michael Daly is back involved? Any other new members?

Peter Cooke had decided not to return. Such a big loss to the teams chances for this year - thought he was superb.

I don't think you will see Michael Daly in a Galway shirt until there is a change of management. Pity because he is a Rolls Royce of a footballer. Sounds like Cooke is not going to be involved and with James McLaughlin and Hernon doubtful as well, the midfield options are a bit low.

It's annoying the way we lose players from
the panel of their own choice every year. It never happens in Mayo for example (not talking about a retirement situation like Keegan or an AFL context like Mullin - totally different scenarios).

The Dunmore keeper isn't in the top 10 in Galway and every man and his dog knows it.

If lads don't want to play, that's their choice, and they shouldn't be criticised for it. Life is for living and everyone does it their own way.
