Replying To Oldtourman:  "Shame on you Viking. I must be forty years older than you and from the time I was about 14 to last Saturday evening week, when I drove on my own from Carlow to Limerick, I have seldom missed a game the team from old Shannonside play. Where is your passion for the Pure and Gold, man"
I've 4 small kids and self employed and unfortunately I gave to work Sunday Ice a big job on that has to be finished! Lucky for the idle, well retired, rich to get everywhere!!!!

Bad feeling from a Wexford perspective for this one. Think the boys had a heavy weekend of training and few late nights as well. More power to them, only young men but I think the focus might be a bit off for this one.
Cork in the park is the targeted game from what i'm hearing.

Plenty of apprehension from Wexford fans and rightly so as Galway have handed out many beatings to our friends from the sunny south east down through the years.

Would make sense. I think if we win 2 more games we should make a semi. And I'd be hopeful we would beat Offaly in the Park.

Clare might be a tough proposition with TK and Duggan back. Although Rodgers might be missing sadly.

Some trivia for you. We played you in the 1st championship hurling match ever played back in 1887. You didnt beat us in championship hurling for the entire 20th century. You have only had the upper hand from the late noughties til now although the last championship match between the sides in Salthill ended in a draw after we missed a sitter of a goal in the last 10 minutes. So I think you ll find we have dished out many more beatings to our friends out West over the years!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane... all the way back to 1887. I was 25 back then myself.

And the last championship game was in Croke Park in 2020 and we gave ye a serious tonking that Saturday evening.

That's true, we were unbelievably flat that championship similarly to how flat ye were in last years championship.

Our lads were all still playing football in the hurling championship that year or at least that was the way it looked it wasnt just you that gave us a bad beating that year! Besides which you were talking about apprehensive about going to Salthill where we have never lost a championship match to ye! It was you that caused that post with your talk of heavy beatings over the years! When in fact "over the years" you have only beaten us in championship hurling a few times ever. Ye have been on top the last few years enjoy it while it lasts. Back to the game there isnt much to be apprehensive about. It's only a league game in February. You should win bearing in mind you have players who have senior, u21 and minor all Ireland medals and lots of them too. Plus you are home. But I was never apprehensive going anywhere to see a game of hurling I've never seen any trouble in 100s of games attended.

Oh nohing wrong with the area in general and despite their being many scores in and around Salthill and Galway, the scores are harder come by on the pitch at times:-D
Its the stadium being beside the Atlantic that I have the problem with. I'm a big fan of Galway in general too.

not necessarily, we had a humdinger with Kilkenny 1 of the games of the year went to ET and a chronic 1st 20 mins cost us against Clare.

I was at ye and Dublin as it was a double header leinster semi finals, ye were terrible and for 55 mins against Waterford were even worse before ye finally produced so magic for the last 15-20 mins.

New management and fresh start for both and plenty of signs of encouragement so far.

yeah its terribly windy although Wexford Park isn't much better, big problem with it is its a bit out of the way for alot of Galway supporters with Athenry being the traditional hurling venue and Tuam for football, agree Galway is a lovely city for a holiday.

You obviously didnt see any of our games last year. We had around a flat 35 minutes last year. The last 20 minutes of extra time against Kilkenny and the 1st 15 minutes against Clare. Apart from that we were flying. We hammered Laois by 20 points. We drew with Kilkenny in 70 minutes and lost by 3 points to Clare despite being around 10 points down after 15 minutes.
