Replying To Trump2020:  "I don't know if I'd put Galway ahead of KK, Tipp, Wexford, etc yet. I hope I'm wrong. But since 2017 Galway have steadily gone backwards. Also with key players retiring who knows who will be starting? I'd be flattered if Galway were Top 4 right now but I just don't see it……YET. Galway Abu."
Kilkenny are struggling in recent seasons and I think Tipp will struggle this year. . Don't get me wrong Kilkenny and Tipp will always have hurlers but not one's to compete with Limerick at the moment. In my eyes Galway beat the fourth best team out of the 17 Semis. Cork were cruising in that semi until their man was sent off and honestly how many Tipp supporters would of went to the 19 final if Tipp were playing Limerick. Every team needs some luck to win an All Ireland but I think Limerick are just too good at the moment. I criticised Limerick 2 years ago about their lack of goals. I'm delighted to see them rattling the net now. If they keep their heads this year they will cruise to another All Ireland.

Replying To anotheralias:  "Thats the way the luck runs sometimes. For sure St Thomas' could have won, but to say that they are the real All Ireland champions is not really valid."
And St Thomas's weren't robbed either same as Ballyhale weren't robbed last Sunday.

Tipp beat a team by 14 points that beat Limerick and you think most Tipp supporters wouldnt have showed up if Limerick were in the final?! Limerick will be the first to say the current 2021-2022 team is miles ahead of where they were in 2018 and 2019. No comparison what so ever. With the exception of Hannon I would say every single player on the panel has come on leaps and bounds since them. I can't see how anyone can argue anything else. Tipp had multiple players around the 28-30 age group that year. It'll never be known what the result would have been if Limerik were in the final - the same as 2017 had Tipp been in the final who have a superior final record to Galways - that point is as ridiculous as yours. Tipp lost one game that year and Limerick lost 3 from 6 - the current Limerick team wont be beaten in half their games this year, thats for sure.

They were robbed by Ballyhale Shamrocks who in turn were robbed by the flukey last second goal scored by Ballygunner from distance that Shamrocks keeper Mason should have saved. Such is the luck of the game. We can put it down to the failure of the fat lady to start singing a few seconds earlier."
St Rynaghs were robbed by the fluky last second goal scored by Ballyhale Shamrocks in the Leinster Final.

They are the real champions.

"Kilkenny are struggling in recent seasons"

Over the past 3 seasons Kilkenny have appeared in 3 semi-finals and 1 final.
If that is struggling, then every other county bar Limerick, has been struggling in recent seasons.

Kilkenny have such a high bar that it can be seen as struggling due to their high standards.

You didn't balance the '2019 Tipp case' here, by presumably choosing to exclude the 'inconvenient' fact that Limerick destroyed Tipp in 2019 Munster Final.

On a points based system, 3 for a final win, 2 for a final loss and 1 for a SF loss Tipp and Kilkenny would be the next most successful teams after Limerick the last 4 years.

Tipp had that bit of luck most teams need to win in 2019.

I dont see how its relevant. Limerick werent good enough over the course of the season to win in 2019. I can't see how you can argue anything else. There's multiple times in sport where this type of thing happens. I once played in a chamionship where we were beaten by 20+ points in the group and ended up beating the same team in the final after. That other team we beat went on to dominate the division for the next 4/5 years. Can I ask if there is a question mark over Galways win in 2017? A win which included a semi final result against a Tipp team massively off form and who struggled past Westmeath for example on the way to the semi final. Theres a strong argument it was the softest All Ireland ever won by any team.
I'm joking but if you can't see my point then I give up.

Yeah and if my aunt had a pair of you know what she would be my uncle. On the day you weren't good enough.Six points up with a few minutes to go and you couldn't close it out. When TJ got the 21 Fennelly stood in front of the goalie and he had to come off his line and go around him to get a clear view,if your backs were any good he should have been shoved out of the way and gave him a decent chance, hurling was the winner on Saturday.

We're not talking 'group game', we're talking the 'famed Munster final, the yoke Ger Loughnane would have killed for, before an all-ireland even.

Have Tipp beaten Limerick in championship 2018-2021? Have they even looked like beating them?

The first half last year, or was it the year before? My Covid amnesia!! Sheedy's animation/excitement at HT, stemming presumably from the fact that the shoe was maybe on the other foot for a day. And then what happened..........the second half happened!!........no wait, took less than half of the second half that day, which really put the exclamation marks on it!!!

Interested to see how Sundays game will go? We've beat a Joe McDonagh team and a 14 man Limerick. It should be a cracker Sunday if both teams go all out!

It should be though maybe both Egan and Shefflin might keep some tactical stuff under wraps with the big one only a couple of months away. Is the game on tv?

I've a feeling that's the way both will approach it. The return in the Park in a couple of months will be a very different game with a good few different players I'd imagine.

Shame on you Viking. I must be forty years older than you and from the time I was about 14 to last Saturday evening week, when I drove on my own from Carlow to Limerick, I have seldom missed a game the team from old Shannonside play. Where is your passion for the Pure and Gold, man
