Dellboy agree with your posts quite often but think you are wrong about McCarthy. For me he was excellent this year and is well deserved for his nomination. Goodfella, Tir (None) - Posts: 1652 - 28/09/2009 11:17:53 438366 Link 0 |
I dont have too many problems with the nominations. Mc guinness was good this year and he will develop but he is not yet in the same league as Mc carthy and Canty. Cian Ward, kenny and Harrington probably did enough to deserve a nomination but they had no hope of winning it so does it really matter? Best of luck to Joe but I wont be putting any money on him to win either Maradonna (Meath) - Posts: 128 - 28/09/2009 11:54:14 438412 Link 0 |
RatoathRoyal, how would crawford not be judged by the 3 meath games that were on tv this year, they were the 3 biggest games that meath played.the game against the dubs,an all-ireland quarter final, and an all-ireland semi-final.sure of course whether he was nominated for an all-star or not would almost totally depend on theses games, therefore my post lost no credability whatsoever!wise up lad... lyoto.machida (Meath) - Posts: 343 - 28/09/2009 11:55:18 438415 Link 0 |
I wouldn't take any notice of the all stars until the players chosen are picked in their actual position. It would then make it interesting instead of moving them into a different position to save face! jonny1951 (Mayo) - Posts: 1431 - 28/09/2009 14:47:08 438666 Link 0 |
lyoto.machida I dont know what quarter final you were watching, but Crawford was one of the best players on the park that day. Yes e didn't have a great game against Kerry (which Meath player did?) but he was Meath's best player against Dublin. Also the Limerick game was televised and in my opinion, behind Chris O' Connor, he was next in line for MOTM. He dominated Galvin (curiously nominated for an All star) during the game.
