Replying To bloodandbandage:  "I thought RTE are showing Galway v Dublin ??"
They are. Galway v Dublin will be on RTE 2. What the chatter is about now is how they just announced yesterday that they'll also show Clare v Tipp free to air on the RTE News Now channel.

The news channel hasn't previously been used this year (or I don't think any other year) for live GAA, and the argument is that the two Leinster matches have more riding on them than Clare v Tipp does, as the result there could turn out to be irrelevant anyway.

Really, Limerick v Tipp was a non event, Cork v Tipp a non event 2nd half, Waterford v Tipp was an ok, not a spectacular game, Leinster has provided proper entertainment and the unexpected this year. Wexford and Dublin would both beat that Tipp team, Antrim and Carlow at give Tipp a right go at home home also and Wexford and Dublin would probably Waterford. Wexford were up with Clare until the last 10 mins in 2022. Waterford haven't won an All Ireland in 64 years, Cork in 19 years, Tipp won 3 All Ireland's in 23 years, Clare 1 All Ireland since 97. Hardly dominant, without Limerick's recent form. Tipp won 1 game in last 11 in Munster, Waterford were virtually winless for 3 years in Munster and Clare haven't won Munster in 25 years. All a bit starry eyed with Munster as usual.

Replying To Afinestick96:  "Sick of hearing about how great Munster hurling is. How have Kilkenny beaten Clare and reach the AI final the last 2 years if Munster is so far ahead? Leinster only gets a bare mention on the Sunday game and any of the main podcasts."
Also the 3rd place teams from Munster in the last 2 years have been knocked out by Galway in the quarter-finals. That doesn't indicate a huge difference in quality.

Well, they had a good ally in Murphy. Great man for technical fouls too. Didn't get to the chapter on steps obviously :-)

It's not, just an ongoing campaign to protect the Munster Championship. Wexford would beat Tipperary and Waterford.

And that's the weakest Kilkenny team in about 20 years and they still managed to send Clare home with their tails between their legs two AI semi finals in a row.

Good point Wanpintwin. The difference in quality is a myth!

Replying To Viking66:  "What did you see of Kilkenny and Antrim? Its obvious from your post you didn't even bother to read a match report. Why do you keep digging? It's very obvious you know nothing about the Leinster Championship so why are you on this thread posting comparisons to the Munster Championship? If you had any knowledge of our Championship at all you would know the following-
1- there is relegation.
2-teams therefore target games to get points from.
3- weaker counties play weakened teams in games they don't think they will win, and play in a manner to reduce the risk of injuries.
What you know about the Leinster Championship could be written on the back of a postage stamp in large writing. You obviously don't have any interest in increasing your knowledge of it either. Maybe dust the cobwebs of the old cute Cork hoor wallet and actually buy a game and watch it might be a good starting point. Then you might actually be able to form valid opinions of your own. Instead of being spoon-fed them by a clown on TSG."
Seriously, what are you on about? I played hurling all my life. I'm also a single parent who does not have time to watch every game, and I also coach and mentor an underage team here in Dublin, which I believe is in Leinster!
If you check back on the posts, it was you started the whole Leinster hurling is manly stuff conversation, it was also you suggested Cork can't defend and that the games in Munster were just exhibition stuff. Not once have I said anything derogatory about Wexford hurling. You have also resorted to childish name calling in your posts. My God you have some chip on your shoulder.

btw - I thoroughly enjoyed the Leinster u20 final last night, and the scenes at the and were a joy to behold. Hopefully it's not long before Offaly are back challenging for Leinster titles..

Replying To Viking66: "Stat came up on the OTB Podcast sent in by one of the lads does the Wexford podcast. Only 5 games in the Leinster Championship have been available to watch, with only one on FTA. All the Munster games have been available."
Most of these are commercial decisions, so obviously, there just isn't the same interest to view Leinster RR games as there is in Munster, and let's be honest about it, you can see why. That's also backed up by attendance figures, despite many of the Munster RR games being on TV. On paper, most of the Leinster games, bar the final ones this weekend, just don't set the pulses racing. Honestly, I get your frustration, but the product is not the same, so you can't really expect the same TV coverage.

If you can't understand why anyone from any Leinster county would find this patronising, condescending, arrogant and offensive there's really no point talking to you at all.

Replying To Cockney_Cat:  "Yes, I understand that.

I'm waiting to see who is showing what, live. I only get to see live hurling matches on GAAGO, here in England. Hopefully they're showing Kilkenny v Wexford, and maybe even Galway v Dublin, which I could watch (not knowing the result) on 'catch up'. I think Limerick v Waterford will definitely be a live TV match."
Good news. GAAGO are showing both Kilkenny v Wexford and Galway v Dublin, here in England.
I'll be able to watch Kilkenny v Wexford live, then hopefully after a KK win (or even a draw), I can relax and watch Galway v Dublin, to see who our opponents will be in the Leinster final.

If we win and Galway and Dublin draw we will be playing you again in the final. Or if we draw and Galway and Dublin draw we will be meeting you in the final.

No more ifs the gloves are off and it's bare knuckle stuff from here and only the last man standing will win the battle!
Straight out predictions from myself Galway and Kilkenny to win.
BTW Wexford/Dublin double to win 13/1!!!

Yes. I suppose I can relax a bit, because whatever happens in either game. Kilkenny will still be still be playing in the AI championship.

Fancy a Galway/Kilkenny double here. If Dublin were playing in PP I would have fancied them, but Galway at home will surely have enough?

I think so. A lot on the line for Henry and Galway if they lose they are 100% out of the championship
