can the site get a couple of new forums or sub categories to organise threads a bit better?
So if we dont have county forums for each county just have one forum on the site for all club discussion
another forum/sub category to discuss competition structures and formats etc
would make site look so much better and easier to find info

Strong performance from the LIV players, 3 in the top7. Rahm looks good enough to dominate golf right now, but that's been said about plenty of players, on plenty of occasions, since Woods stopped being the dominant force 15 years ago.

The list goes on - you have the list? the fact that you didn't know the difference says that you are a headline reader and not a follower of the sport. So what is you interest in rugby then? if you have no interest in the game why would it make a difference to you?

Yeah it's confusing alight. Sometimes for instance I might have a comment on Tyrone county GAA, but have no idea where to put it as there only is a "Tyrone club" forum.

I have an interest in every Irish team but have no time for guys pretending to be Irish just to hitch a fee ride and line their pockets on the way…. If there is no Irish in you then you are in no way Irish and shouldn't be representing Ireland…simple enough for you..?

Hansen has irish ties through his mother born in Ireland.
Below is full list of irish players. you can look at all to see which players qualified on residency, which grew up abroad and had irish heritage and then the irish born players...

That's what makes Padraig Harrington's career all the more remarkable. Tiger was at his peak and Harrington won 2 opens , US open and numerous PGA tours, plus umpteen 2nd place finishes.

Numerous? 3 is hardly numerous? 6 PGA tour wins, which include the 3 majors. Woods was recovering from knee surgery, when Harrington struck for 2 majors in 2008. Woods probably wasn't in the field for Padraig's 3 'other' wins on US soil. That leaves Harri's first major as likely his only PGA tour win with Woods in the field, a quick google revealing that Tiger was 12th in that 2007 Open, not particularly contending to win it at any point.

Harrington's career may well have been remarkable, but it wasn't remarkable to the extent that he ever beat Woods to any of the loot.

It wasn't Harrington's fault that Tiger Woods didn't contest in that Open in 2007. The conditions were the same for everyone. Harrington was six shots behind Garcia going in to the final round.

I didn't say that it was his fault.

I think the standard of golfer is away better now than at that time…. I don't think Tiger would win as much if he was up against the current crop of golfers week in week out….

McIlroy throwing his toys out of the pram again. Wouldn't talk to the media after he missed the Masters cut and now has withdrawn from his second tournament this weekend. The guy doesn't cut it anymore in the Majors and blames everyone else but himself. Very childish.

If the combined rules came about again, I would assume that you would adopt the same stance such that a lad who say came here as an immigrant, say five years ago, but happened to be one of the best Gaelic Footballers in the country should be excluded because he has no Irish in him? People have died fighting under flags of countries that they had nothing to do with, perhaps they just believe in what they are doing for the people they represent? Did you every have someone join your club from outside the parish? you would doubt his commitment to the club?

A lot of high achievers/winners do the same to be fair to him. Doesnt make it right but a lot of the time the best react like that

The irony of that criticism is that McIlroy is possibly too giving to media in general, in the leadup to majors especially, which leaves him creating hostages to fortune more often than not in majors these seasons. Needs to practice the art of giving away nothing while talking as much as he likes to these media hawks, many of whom are only waiting to pee on his tent if the wheels fall off.

I think I've already alluded to that above, while making the point that Harrington's career success story didn't put too much of a tear on Tiger's superman cape between 1997 and 2008.

That's a totally different thing altogether… I'm talking about guys coming to Ireland to get a leg up to International rugby because they probably wouldn't make their own national squad and getting their paws well greased as well… You are only trying to muddy the waters ( unsuccessfully ) with your take on things….!!!
