Replying To bloodyban:  "Wow. 'Irish soccer fans are a cut above the rest'.. people actually believe that?! That statement is all ego and arrogance. Typical of an Irish soccer supporter changing the flat tyre. 'Look at us..look how great we are..yes we can't sit down together and enjoy a quiet drink ...yes we have to annoy every person in a 100 yard radius.. but aren't we great all the same'. Please give us a break.
Limerick rugby supporters from my experience are very good. They support the hurlers in Munster Championship and its vice versa ,alot of Limerick soccer and Hurling supporters would have a city rugby club aswell that they grew up with. Yes there is a certain cadre if rugby supporter who look down on the GAA as uncouth but that's an ever shrinking demographic. There is a fair few annoying GAA supporters who are actively anti rugby ...nit many in Limerick but iv come across a few. I dont like them.
Tipp I think will be good. McCormack must have kicked Bonners kid or something to not get a game. Heffernan should have been full back all season anyway. Its a position for an experienced man. And the form of Bonner Maher must be completely gone . He's gone to the well alot and maybe it's the end of the road for him physically. I can't imagine his hunger would ever dim. Great guy."
Yeah guilty here bloodyban totally anti-rugby, the least skillful team sport in the world. Most of them don't even touch the ball during the game and even the best of them can't put a ball over the bar from 30 yards out- most junior B footballers can do that and they don't get the over the top praise and bull about their limited skills.
Today is a day about Limerick winning and getting out of Munster, talk of big wins doesn't matter against any Tipp failings. Win and get through and Tipp will go away and sort out their own problems if Bonner is giving time. In the past we have been in the Tipp position and had a close game so a point win will do for me and no more injuries.

Being a little irritating and causing bloody mayhem are not the same thing.

We are generally good at supporting our team and the general consensus is we contribute positively to every tournament we are part of.

Why wouldn't we let our hair down? These are special moments in life.

People don't just believe it. The whole world knows it.

I assume limerick homecoming was all very dignified?

You must be great fun at parties.

Particularly when you compare us to our nearest soccer neighbours.

Can't really comment on rugby. I know nothing about it and have never been to a match.

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Just noticed that the last round robin games in Leinster are on different days and times. Kilkenny/Wexford is a must win for both but I'd have imagined they'd have all been same time as in 2019 to avoid any chance that one of teams might not have anything riding on their last game.

Not impossible that Dublin and Galway will be both guaranteed a place in top 3 and even the final after the Kilkenny match. The uncertainty the last time really made for a thrilling tow final games."
According to the official Leinster GAA website all 3 last round games are fixed for 6pm on 21/5/22 Barney.

I had seen that but RTE - which is presumably planning to show at least one of them, has your match down for the Saturday and other two the next day.

No reason why they shouldn't be same day, especially with final coming up so soon afterwards, apart from the possible impact one result might have on other.

12 minutes into watching Tipp v Limerick no intensity it's like a challenge game. Expected more fight from Tipp tbh

No consistency with handpass rule, Barry Heffernan looked to have thrown the ball to a teammate for tipps latest point while Hannon was blown up minutes before for a more clear looking handpass

Poor enough half of hurling. Hopefully the 2nd half will be better. Poor wides. Not much excitement. Only thing going for it is its close.

Excellent refereeing by L. Gordon today in Munster....he isn't letting limrik get away with any sly digs!!

Gullane just got fouled 3 times by Barrett and the ref gave Tipp a free for overcarrying. Really poor ref Katser

Can't understand why O Neill got took off. One of Limericks best players so far.

Several throws by Limerick too, especially by Tom Morrissey and Hegarty. You should look at both sides, unlike Anthony Daly.

Well Katser you must be thrilled with your fellow county man as ref..think possibly 17 frees to 7..same ref who didn't see a throw ball and pick up off the ground leading to a tipp goal in monsoon conditions in 2020..ive no problem with ref making a mistake but not for the whole 70..limerick won again not playing well but let's face it a match lasts for 76/77 minutes now not just 70..can't wait to have a hop of ye this year..I'm not going to argue with you anymore I'll only make my self cranky..

I think he is a great Referee, Tipp are going nowhere for along time...a better team would have won that match.
Galway and Clare definitely would have.

None but I do have sympathy for refs on this one. Hard to call on tv let alone in live action plus for once powers that be seem determined to enforce this rule all through championship and not just league. Ref wasn't poor today and got most calls right. Frustrated with a few in first half in particular but that could do with my own frustrations watching the Limerick performance. Tipp were playing with the better intensity so deserved the benefit

No have to disagree with you there, the fella that referred Galway and Wexford is much better.

Tough game. Limerick didnt kick into gear until well into 2nd half. They do have the gears though. Tipp tactically were good with the sweeper and movement of browne constantly caught limerick.

Not a brilliant spectacle but it was a tactical battle for me. Noel mc Grath was v good. Limerick got a tough battle and had to deal with tactics that may well be employed by other teams as the year progresses.

Mike casey and Finn had to deal with an amount of ball.

Quaid is the best keeper in the country by a distance since 2017
