Inniskeen is a much better venue than 'blayney for parking and atmosphere. They have a marginally better siopa and better lights for night time games. Better scoreboard and PA as well. Blayney is a kip to get parked at - but at least its relatively central in the, and is adjacent to good roads in all directions. While the roads are narrow.. there is a lot of them which means a fast exit once you get outside the ground. The Wheelchair access is the best I've seen at any ground bar none. The one thing that they do better than Clones, Scotstown and Blayney is that they have lots of volunteers so everything runs really well. Lots of people in the car park, lots in the shops, lots around the ground helping out.. The Inniskeen people should be really proud of how they run a match. McKenna cup and league fixtures have been released now and there have been some pictures of the panel back at training too. Not going to be easy for Vinny,trying to repeat the wonderful achievement of winning McKenna Cup last year under Banty. Agreed, its going to be difficult, hearing that all the older crew are committing again. Will be good to see if Vinny is loyal to these older men or will favour taking risks with younger lads. Given the squad will be minus 4/5 young lads from last year, Vinny will be hoping that a few surprise packages come through and make their stamp on the team, boys like Loughran, Shane Hanratty, Slevin, Conor Leonard. Any word if any of the banty exiles are back in i.e. Mulligan, mc menanmin, O hanlon etc. Also please please vinny play our sub goalie in all the mc kenna cup games and give that player a proper chance to stake a claim for the jersey like everyone else. Mulligan back in, that's all I think. I fear we are kicking the inevitable can down the road with this team, instead of blooding younger lads and "asking" players of a certain vintage outside the 20-25 team to make way for a longer term plan we keep going to the well with the same men. We will end up with a mass exodus and a gapping gap too hard to fill with the small crop of players in d county. This isn't necessarily Vinny's fault but rather a problem he's inherited, but it is however his problem. Will the Vinny fans stay loyal??
