Run along now Veteran, you'll be late for your favourite band, they're on stage any minute now!

Come on now … why hasn't every club not got rounders and handball teams and players ? Why is every club not fielding referees ? Participation in Scor???

He'll be back when it's a Cavan Monaghan final in Croke Park in a few weeks time.
Lavelle injury a major downer after a very good days work for Monaghan. OHanlon was unreal, McNulty and Bannigan both put in some shift too. You'd like to see Garland get in on the scoring a bit more.
Next week will be very interesting indeed.

Why is Bobby McCaul running up and down the line all day "warming up" when there is u20 games being played on a Wednesday that he's not allowed field for? Absolute disgrace that an u20 player is being held back from his age grade to make up numbers on a senior bench. They have their first round of competitive games in 2 weeks and he hasn't been involved in 1 session.
At that age, in that stage of his development I feel he'd benefit a hell of a lot more playing football as opposed to watching it.

Mooney the same last year, wasn't allowed train, missed a championship game due to a dead rubber senior game, now he's warming the bench all year when no u20s to play. Co Board are absolutely clueless on developing players over this age.

Another enjoyable afternoon watching Monaghan. Our forward play is as good as I've ever seen us. A far cry from the basketball tactics and lack of shooting from previous years. Our running forwards, spearheaded by Stephen O'Hanlon are so hard to defend against. Gary Mohan being back adds some much needed physicality in midfield too. Hopefully we keep it up for the final round against Down.

Really good win today, the team are playing a real nice brand of fotoball with pace, movement and accuracy to the fore. Meath were no match. But the job is not done, the red and black Sunday in clones to seal it. Won't be easy but momentum is strong within the team and confidence.

I think it's time monaghan supporters get out in big numbers because this team has serious potential to do something special with the players they have lying In the wings they have good players in first 15 and brilliant players in the subs along with with some brilliant heads in management but what were lacking is vocal supporters it's been a big problem in monaghan over the years anyone disagree ?

It's hard to see a scenario where we don't get promoted now as it would only be on points difference now on my reading, we have 24 points on Meath and 38 on Cavan. It can't be head to head.
Winning the final would be quite an achievement for all involved for a team in transition, would also give a ranking of 7 in league position for the championship, which given the Leinster and Munster championship draws, could be very significant, doesn't seem like much now but getting that higher seeding does count in the championship.
It would also take the pressure off the Ulster championship where we could give it a right rattle full in the knowledge we would be well seeded for the league stage.
Dark horses for Ulster, just the way we like it, we mightn't have the best 15 in Ulster at the moment but is there a better squad being built

Excellent performance yesterday in Navan. Quite clear we have that div 1 pedigree and it is great to go back up. I would not read too much into these results though, questions need to be asked of the quality of the opposition, Meath, Cork, Westmeath, Louth. These teams really are dreadful when the going got tough in all of the games, our real test now will be in the first round of the championship and that will really show where we are. We can relax for a few weeks which is brilliant and will allow Bannigan to get a few more players blooded and game time into them. Would be great to see Ward, Wilson, Mooney, Darren, mc Bennett all start v Down and get them the game time they need. Its amazing that we can possibly put in 5/6 players and it doesn't really weaken our team.

Yes Andy is another great addition. Just listening to what the players are saying. He didn't get us to a minor all Ireland final by chance. Still can't believe he was refused the 20s job this year but their loss is the seniors gain
