They haven't won a championship match in nearly 3 years and it probably wont change any time soon!!!
But yeah they'll win the championship!!! Good one!!"
Oram have need carried the favourites tag well.
Anyone who follows oram could list loads of games that the have blew over the last 10 years.
2023 lost their nerve and folded against Drumhowan in Aughmullen after going in level at half time.
2022 they couldn't beat an under strength Drumhowan in Castleblayney, they done everything but score.
2021 they got two men sent off in a championship semi against the Seans in Inniskeen .
and various league play offs too.
ill discipline and drinking culture among a few players has been their Achilles' heel.
sure they can lift it for an odd one off game against Toome.
but they will inevitably choke,

nothing to do with no liking them.
its a fact , their record speaks for its self.
some very talented players in Oram , but with limited resources. probably using a pool of 20 players
They have a few individuals who regularly let them down on and off the field.

Dream on. My sources have mentioned Paul Curran, Eoin Lennon, Dinky McBride and a decent backroom team.

Very hard to get excited for the inter county scene in 2025, I think we will be at best very average.

Oram rested half their team as the had the group topped regardless of the result.

In my eyes Truagh will win the double in intermediate and even go on and do well in ulster. They are already in a league final and with gary mohan back and alot of young talent hungry for silverware, i cant see it any other way!!
Remember what happened the last time truagh was in intermediate?

Oram rested damn all of there team again killevin. They played to win it in my eyes but killevin were the better team on the day.Who if any did they rest,
Oram very wastefull in possesion at times all year.
Don't know why drumhowan isn mentioned in these posts they are the inform team to watch

Not sure about that. Think the players will enjoy div 2 after years of losing most games in div 1 and scraping survival. Now that said it could all spiral and go south like in 2012 after we went down ended up in div 3. I don't see that happening through as saw enough v Galway to suggest better days ahead. A new manager should get a bit of a bounce provided our best players all commit.

I didn't know Oram hada squad to rest players … There has been some waffle spouted here about the junior championship. It's the most difficult to win baca use of the pressure riding on it … wouldn't put it past scotstown to go and win it

I must say I think the standard has been nothing short of awful in Junior the last number of years and the gap between Junior and Intermediate has widened. Blackhill winning a double last year and getting to an Ulster junior final and looking almost certain to come straight back down is a testament to that. Men on here think Oram and Drumhowen and the likes could survive in Intermediate, as Keano would say do me a favour. Some teams are just meant for certain divisions. Though it must be said fair play to Tyholland for bucking the trend although luck was on their side with that championship group.

The gap between intermediate and senior has probably narrowed in the last few years when you see teams like Corduff going from near the bottom of intermediate to contesting for Mick Duffys. Not sure if that is a sign of strength of weakness in Monaghan club football though.

This is complete comedy gold. After saying there has been waffle spouted and then you come out with "wouldn't put it past scotstown to go and win it". scotstown will 100% not win the championship. Thanks for giving me a laugh on my wednesday morning.

Exactly ten years from they won the All Ireland they're back in intermediate, a lot of players that won it then are still playing- I'd imagine they'd be embarrassed to win it again.

Replying To ScarnaMan1990:  "People ruling out Aghabog in the championship is completely ludicrous. They have played without a full team for the whole of the championship so far, just goes to show how little junior games people go to and make predictions based off results. All semi finalists will come from group 1."
aghabog haven't won a game in the championship in 3 years. i could go watch them every week and tell you that they will win nothing this year!
