Replying To HB245:  "Does anybody know what our u20 team is like this year? I'll be interested to see how many lads from last year's fantastic minor panel make the u20 panel.
Probably a good idea to have as many of them as possible in the panel to get good quality S&C and training, with a look to two years down the road when they'll be in their final year and could hopefully achieve something special yet again."
Hopefully not. No need to rush these lads. Plenty of good lads from the previous years' Minor teams to use. It's about development at this age.

Replying To farneygossip:  "Mad statement!!

Jack Mc Carron had a massive impact on Scotstown. He frees up one of there better players all the time with the top defender going to him.
He had an outstanding club championship, was MOTM in the county final, will probably be in the mix for club player of the year in Monaghan and Scotstowns player of the year.
Was double marked by Kilcoo and kicked vital scores!
There's no denying his quality! He allows Scotstown so many more systems of play!"
You must have been at a different match that I was last Sunday so.

Congratulations to the Blayney hurlers on winning Ulster junior title.

Scotstown and Blackhill the two remaining Monaghan teams in action next weekend. Any thoughts on prospects?

No surprise some of them gone. Surprised at Fra going from Kilkenny to Toome, possibly doesn't want a relegation on his CV.

Good appointment for emyvale.

I see it is the 25th anniversary of the Monaghan Masters team winning an All-Ireland.
Would anyone know what the panel was, or where can I find this info? Can't seem to find it online.

Your very certain of a promotion in such unknown circumstances.
The intermediate league will be the most competitive and uncertain League at any level in Monaghan football next year.
It will be very competitive and tight with a number of teams fancying promotion!

Replying To monman91:  "I would think very few neutrals would have any issue with the Ryan Malley transfer for the reasons you outlined above. However Jack is a very different story. Just seems totally unfair to smaller clubs in the GAA."
He's building a house in Scotstown, as in moving there. What's the difference? If the fact that his father & grandfather played for Scotstown was the only reason, then surely he'd have transferred years ago. And nobody in Scotstown is embarrassed to have him playing there. And btw, Scotstown went 20+ years without winning county, and still included all of Tydavnet parish. so dry your eyes pet and put that energy into your own club.
