Be great to see kimnegad win but can't see anything but a lomans win in the final"
Will repeat the score was 6 not 20 as you say
Will also repeat another keyboard warrior

Proud of our squad today. Easy to take pot shots at management. They are massively loved and respected by the players. Hope they stay on and continue the progress made over the last three years

Kinnegad definitely the better team and after waft they have been through hope they finish the job. Lomans though are a serious outfit and their scoring threat will overwhelm Kinnegad

As bad as Caulry were today-(according to the experts) this great Kinnegad team only scored 1-8 against them and actually Caulry won the second half scoring wise 4 pts to 3.Lomans will devour this defencesively set up Kinnegad at their ease

Great win for Kinnegad and i think most on here would be happy to silence all the nonsense on here about Caulry from a few posters. They are not at the top table yet and i think they are still a few years away but certainly are coming.

I really think Caulry are coasting into a final without reaching any great heights yet and who knows in one off game with Lomans??
You and others might take my posts serious then"
Let me know when to start taking you seriously so.....

It's amazing how a bit of optimism can annoy some people..

Exellent analysis on Caulry not being good enough. How did you figure that out? By the score?

The anti Caulry sentiments on this forum don't make sense in some respects as a club with no imports field a young side and exceed expectations at senior level, that's every club's aim surely, however the sentiments can be explained that the team they fielded versus Loman's in group game for 2nd successive year didn't go down well with neutrals, Loman's or Caulry supporters and some Caulry posters here have been too cocky regarding their prospects. They played better yesterday when throwing caution to the wind in second half.

People have been saying for months that Caulry weren't good enough to be contenders. Perhaps the optimism was blinded by loyalty.

Thought a while back that it would be a Kinnegad Lomans final and it's turned out that way.
Don't think Kinnegad were at their best yesterday and yet they were never really troubled, always felt they were in control barring a 10 min purple patch for Caulry.
Think the final will be close too, Lomans to shade it by 2-3 points.

The intermediate is too close to call imo, 2 teams with a lot of momentum behind them now. The hurling could be a distraction for Malachy's or alternatively it could keep their momentum going, remains to be seen.

Not nearly to the same extent or standard.Where are the MTP county hurlers.Obviously Malachys will want to win but the main priority for the majority of players will be for Castletown to put back to back senior championships for the first time since the 1950's.CTG are also in the Intermediate hurling semi final.

Why are people so quick to jump to dig the gun it at caulry a small club who are punching miles above their weight, they are making giant strides and will be back plenty times in the coming years, also I've seen plenty times about how suspect the lomans defence is yet they've had one of their strongest and best championships to date also the intermediate will have a B group winner this and for who ever wins this years final will mean that ultimately the winners will jump 2 divisions higher for next year , been a great championship so far at all levels the extra time in the junior semi finals and penalty shoot out in Westmeath football championship for the first time, full of thrills and spills each grade has been , best of luck to the 6 teams involved in the finals what a finals weekend in store

To Undertheroad. Your comments on the Caulry performance in the semi final.
The first thing you half to do is eliminate blame. We all should have done better in hindsight. That game is over and the best team won on the day. Move on get involved, if you feel you can make any contribution to your club.

Not sure about poster claiming it's been an excellent championship, far from the case at senior level, standout matches? Any? New players for county side? Standard has been disappointing particularly in section A, two abysmal semi finals, non contests and atmosphere non existent.

The inter county season is over so not sure what having county hurlers has to do with it? Both Brigids and Castletown in semi finals of their respected club grades. Are you suggesting that Brigids wont be training as hard to win the intermediate as Castletown will be to win the senior? I doubt it. MTP have more dual players than you seem to think

I don't usually post regarding the football but I'd say what Jobber was getting at was that Miltownpass probably have 5/6 players playing with Brigids whereas Malachys would be made up of pretty much all Castletown players. Either way both Miltownpass and Malachys will have a similar scenario going into the county final as I expect Brigids and Castletown to win both their respective semi finals. Its just the way things work out. I actually think the momentum carries over.

I agree the momentum carries over. Go hell for leather at both codes is the best option
