What's really annoying me is that all of this mess is self inflicted from incompetent/corrupt leadership, and it's the players at all levels and the GAA fans in the county that have to suffer the consequences of this feckless leadership. We have always produced good footballers in this county but the structure and leadership hasn't been there to get the best out of them. I just hope that sometime soon all of this gets sorted out and the players at all levels get the chance to be their best and are not hampered anymore by their own county board. From last year the likes of Ruane and Flynn have put on serious timber and O'Shea is more mobile than he ever was. Yeah not fit enough, depressing is the only word for it, we are heading to div 2 for sure now, sorry state of affairs for a team that showed such promise a few years ago. We're minus Murphy,McBrearty and McHugh, and a full month s&c behind everyone else (thanks to the mess made of appointing our management). Many players are even more than that due to injury. We should improve with fitness. What worries me most is the lack plan A, never mind plan B or C. What are we trying to do? Can anyone genuinely see anything in our play, or in our tactics, that might be a work in progress, that could eventually bare fruit? I honestly can't. I would fear the negativity surrounding things could excellerate our decline, and this year is going to be a very short one.
