Replying To ryan:  "Karl Lacey gone now nearly 2 weeks and coaches gone last week. Not a word of communication from the county board to the parents, the clubs or the supporters of Donegal GAA. It is also very noticeable how this has been dealt with on local radio and the local media. It's like we are living in North Korea."
Donegal might as well be North Korea in lots of ways when you look at how we are ignored up here for most things,
I watched the DL debate with Muprh and big Neil on, not a mention of the elephant in the room,
I have the greatest of respect and gratitude towards Murph but I just don't believe the story that he had decided after the last game in Clones than he was packing in playing county football,
I think the mess the county board made of selecting the new manager was what helped make his mind up and looking at it maybe he is as well off out of it.

What I would like to know is how much does our 22 executive members and our full-time administrator who was due to retire 2 years ago get paid in expenses every year? Is there a reason why you wouldn't retire? Is this why they r rubbishing the academy and saying it is costing too much money??????

Very bad news indeed. A bad hamstring injury for Paddy I heard. We can only hope it isn't as bad as is being reported and that he can play his part later in the year.

All very fair questions. I'm not privy to financial reporting for the county board but I wonder is it done internally or audited externally?

Hi Ryan: Very surprised some of our "top" sports journalists in the county haven't been all over this story. They would be hounding people for mickey mouse stories. The same journos giving out about meetings held in camera. Have they been censored I wonder.

There was a candidate there waiting to take the job then the pulled out due to certain issues ,thats what created the problem. Not just the county board.

A lot of our media people are being told that they will lose access to players if they question anything in articles or podcasts. Hard to believe in this day and age but sadly true.

Well there are different grades of hamstring injuries and I've heard that the one Paddy suffered is at the more serious end of the scale. Hopefully that is wrong though.

I well know there is different grades. All I see reported was as I posted and direct comment from the Donegal manager.

Alright cool the jets. Yeah I heard what Carr said too so hopefully McBrearty will be back sooner rather than later.

Paddy Carr stated more or less nothing was confirmed. These type of injuries need second and third specialist opinions so he's not going to be telling the media anything without it confirmed. Common sense. But the early news /diagnosis is terrible. He'll be gone for the year not unless the first scan was wrong.

Unusual situation to get a hamstring injury. He was clearly fouled but the ref didn't give it.He went down and was limping when he got up.
