Replying To LongfordgaaAbú:  "Why is the refixed league relegation match between Dromard and Slashers being played in Mullahoran rather than in Drumlish or Killoe or Ballinalee or Colmcille or Granard or Ballymore etc.? I know Dromard's pitch is out of commission, but it seems idiotic to take it to Mullahoran."
Lights are needed and most clubs train Friday nights. Drumlish, Killoe and Clonguish minors all playing at the weekend on Sunday.

Not just the minors, but also 6 ladies teams playing at the weekend, including Ballymore.

Because dromard have home advantage and they can can nominate a proxy. I don't see the issue, little difference in journey

Surely Slashers were entitled to home venue this time as Dromard had home venue last time. Dromard were cause of replay so they should have forfeited home venue

What was the reason the game had to be replayed

They could appeal to the High Court if they want but it won't change a thing.

The time to object to the suspension was via the appeal processes and should have been done prior to last match been played.
They cannot appeal to High Court. It will have to be the DRA, if they are lodging an appeal.
You are correct. It will not change a thing. Even if some appeal process exonerates the player, they cannot replay the match.
County Final all set.

Hope there will be a game in Our Lady of Lourdes Park on Friday evening as Slashers will hardly find their way to the park as it is about a mile past the boundry of co Longford

Dromard had a sub on the field for a while without the referee giving the go-ahead for it. Slashers lost by a point and objected. CB ruled on it and match was refixed. Dromard then appealed the refixing of the game and now it's finally going ahead.

Loser plays Mostrim to decide who goes down to division 2.

Slashers must be hoping that this is their last visit to a Cavan venue for a match for a while.
It will be an interesting Relegatio decider between 2 teams who secured their survival in the Senior championship next year.

Dromard won by 8 points. Mostrim v Slashers now to see who goes down. Who do ye think will make the drop?

Any predictions for the intermediate semis tomorrow? I wouldn't write Ballymore off to beat Drumlish. I think Connollys are too strong for Killashee with the way Killashee are going. Always hard to beat a team twice though!

Would expect the Connollys and the Gaels to win fairy comfortably.

What's people's opinions on club officials leaving the pitch to confront supporters in the stand or surrounding areas ?

Fully depends on the context

What context ? You don't leave the side of the pitch to throw a sly dig at someone. Video evidence is widely available.

In fairness that wasn't really clear from your first post. What actually happened and we might have better answers for you

I didn't know club officials are on the pitch?
Usually players are on the pitch.

I'm not sure what you're referring to or what you're getting at exactly. Was this at a recent game?

Slashers should be able to avoid playing in the Breffni county as there are no Div 2 clubs in north Longford
