Replying To Gunner24:  "I have no dog in the fight but I think Colmcille have been really under appreciated since they won it in 2022 and I think that a win here would be brilliant for them while also proving that 2022 was not a flash in the pan."
Abbeylara to win in a low scoring game by 2 points and Grattans to hammer Slashers in the junior.

Slashers have survived another year in D1. Finished the year very strong winning both matches that mattered

Well done to Grattans on winning the Junior. Surprised the CB didn't get Joe to ref it as he would be split 50/50 between both teams......how fairer could you get!! Abbey and Colmcille to do it again. Fair play to Robbie Smyth who came to Abbeys rescue. When Colmcille went 2 up their forward went straight to Robbie to celebrate in his face.....then Robbie goes down and scores 2 injury time points to get the draw!! An awful mistake by the Colmcille defender at the end to give Abbey a second bite of the cherry.

County final was way better than I expected so fair play to both teams. Abbey goal keeper had first half to forget. Hopefully the replay is as good next weekend.

How did the standard compare to the replay on Saturday. Penalties is a cruel way to decide GAA matches.

Colmcille had the cat in the bag and forgot to tie it. Credit to Abbey for sticking with it and making that pressure pay. Colmcille might feel the weight of expectation a bit more the next day, who knows. Decent enough second half after a dull first. Wouldn't rule out another draw this Sunday :-).

Was Sunday the first time a Jubilee team had a guy who is still playing senior championship?

Well done Grattans. Could have been a pile of goals in that game. They held their nerve and deserved it.

I'm going with the Gaels to beat Connollys on Sunday in the curtain raiser. The occasion might get to the Connollys i reckon even though they are a decent outfit. Would like to see them win - it's been a long time since they won it (35 years), but the Gaels should have enough cuteness after the 2022 smash and grab loss to get the job done this time.

Abbey will win the replay and Connollys will finally win the Intermediate after a few years of choking.

This forum has gone very quiet since the 2 favourites were knocked out of the championship.

Abbey will beat Colmcille in senior but no one really cares about that one. Intermediate final is where most eyes will be on. Gaels or Connollys....who will win is anybodies guess. I'm expecting a cracker with 2 very good forward lines on show. Hope we can pull it out of the bag, but it won't be easy.

Undoubtedly the right decision to call the games off but probably should have made call this morning at the latest. When are longford champions out in Leinster?

The right decision but why did they wait until the Intermediate teams were in the dressing rooms and supporters on way into the grounds? Storm was well forecast from middle of the week and at very latest that decision to cancel should have been taken early this morning. A lot of people were needlessly inconvienced by this last min decision. You would have to question the wisdom of the delayed decision. From the outset it was far too dangerous for players and supporters travelling to and from Pearse Park not to mention the lottery the game itself would become.

Congratulations to Cian Darcy on his recent nomination as Lory Meagher Cup player of the year and being named on the Shinty/Hurling team - a fantastic player to watch in the Longford jersey.

At least they got a bit of notice. Lomans supporters had already travelled to slashers for their leinster ladies match and game was called off ten minutes after throw in was due
