Yesssss!!!!!!! An absolutely heroic second-half performance by Galway. What a fantastic team effort and great contributions off the bench. One of the greatest days in my 45 years of following Galway GAA.

Replying To crafty:  "Galway seem to be happy to be there. They don't look like a team with belief. Players just not good enough."
Hernon has to play fullback from now on.

And that's why you don't post on a game toll the final whistle has blown.

Unbelievable. If the cops aren't called by the neighbours reporting the ungodly noises coming from my house, it'll be a minor miracle.

Take a bow PJ and the lads. Whatever comes necxt, you've just made my summer. Brilliant.

Gaillimh go deó!!

What did you think of the match Clare? Without a doubt you will have a whole load of negative things to say.

Fantastic performance by Galway. They showed it all out there. Discipline, determination, scoring, the lot. They've opened the championship right up now and best of luck to them for the run in.

A leave the poor creatureen alone. We've just taken a step closer to his worst nightmare; Mayo dominating football with a team of generational talent only to fall short 5 or six times (honestly, lost count) on the big day, and then along we come and do it again. The ladeen is probably rocking on his heels in a corner somewhere holding his head.

Congratulations lads serious win when you consider today was your 3rd match in 14 days against rested Dublin. Takes some prep to have a team in that shape on fitness and conditioning to pull off the win something we sadly don't have.

Best wishes in the All Ireland semi final be great to see Sam back to Connacht.

Replying To Gilberto_Eire:  "First three Dublin kick outs chipped to an unmarked player with no pressure.

First two Galway, kicked long and lost and over our bar in no time.

If for no other reason Joyce should be moved on, you won't be beating better or equal teams when you're just giving them extra possessions.

Five years now and they can't seem to identify that as a problem... It's so disappointing.

Every kick out takes an age while Cluxton just gets it out quick... You'd think they'd copy the benchmark."
In fairness to Joyce he was keeping back for the second half . Maybe he knows a bit more about setting a team than you

Great historic win. Dublin looking washed up there second half, so one or two tougher challenges lie ahead, if we're to land the big one.

Well posted. Galway had the legs in the second half and the substitutes made a big difference as well.
Probably won't see a few of those Dublin lads in a blue jersey again. They have been great servants to the game.

Hopefully we build on it and land the big one… still though a historic win and some second half fully deserved
