Any word on Mattie Tierney or Cillian McDaid. Anything on McLoughlin coming back into the panel. Good to see Damien and Shane back.

Another worrying performance from our minors.
How many balls did we lose the tackle or turnovers against us?

Watched the minors last week against Sligo and tonight against Roscommon. A worryingly average bunch unfortunately. They try their best but very limited. No Connacht title at U17 since 2018 now. Serious slippage at underage from Galway in recent years hidden by an AI minor win in 2022 and an U20 AI win in 2020.

Didn't hear anything about Sweeney and Where is John Maher, one of the best players during the league, Cunningham probably start instead of Mccabe, maybe new injuries are sweeney & maher, good to see heaney is ok

James McLoughlin is off the panel, he's studying abroad.

Sweeney came off at half time in London game. Word around Ruislip was that it wasn't overly bad and that precaution was been taken. Would expect that the usual return to play protocols are in place so we should expect to see him for a half in next game after Sligo. He's an intelligent and integral part of the team going forward.

It is hard to fathom how they were so poor tonight, but these lads are only 16 and 17 and ultimately it is about getting Senior players. Personally, I think it is unfair to play the games on a Friday night after school.

Harsh on a group of U17s. Drew last week and only lost by three in the Hyde. Connacht is among the most competitive provinces and if lucky to get out of it you are battle hardened for the AI series as was the case for Galway U17s 2022.

As for the senior match in Markiewicz Park I think the bookies and punters will get it spot on with Galway to win by 8 or 9 point margin.

I think biggest thing with Galway minors is that at club under 16 in Galway is a joke of a competition so the following year these players are expected to perform at a high level after a year of playing in a joke of a competition in both mayo and Roscommon there main competition are at even ages : 14 - 16 -18 and in my opinion unless galway change the minors will be left behind , also the way trials are In Galway pure joke some clubs sending in 15 -20 players not fair on management either there definitely needs big shake up for the good of Galway football and also it's almost always ex players who are over every team I'm not sure if it working out great ,,

Only going by what I've seen of them unfortunately. Got a fortunate draw against Sligo with the last kick of the game and I thought a 3 point defeat flattered them against Roscommon last night. Rossies were a good bit better overall. I'd worry what Mayo might do to them. Hopefully they can salvage something yet but would need serious improvement on the evidence so far.

Lets see a good attacking display today, nice dry ball and lets test Sligo and keep the momentum going. Hope to see Damien play the last 20 minutes.

Get out of jail card used. Without Comer today it was 3 or 4 point defeat instead.

That's the wake up call now, if they cant see the urgency required now the championship is as good as over. On the positive side Walsh and Comer have seen game time. We badly need Tierney and McDaid on the pitch.

Somebody fix John Maher's hamstring for the final. We were cut open time and time again down the middle. His work rate was badly missed there today. Comer and O'Flaherty made the difference off the bench.

For once Joyce was actually ruthless with the subs and took off Walsh, Daly and Conroy.

Tierney and McDaid were out kicking ball before the game so I'd expect they will be pretty close to making the 26 for the Connacht final.
