Replying To Trump2020:  "A lot of things have to go well for Galway if they're going to upset this Limerick team. We can't have all them wides like we did vs Tipp or play like we did in the 1st half vs Dublin. We played well in the 2nd half vs Dublin and against 2 tough teams in Kilkenny and Tipp. Not perfect at all but they definitely fought hard."
I agree, the character shown was the most pleasing aspect of their performances to date.

If we can play as hard as the last 2 1/2 matches and reel in the wides a bit then I think we'll have a chance. Galway Abu.

We have every chance and a golden opportunity to get back into the All Ireland Final

Replying To Oldtourman:  "Thanks Baire for a very decent comment. I think ye will take us on Saturday week. If ye do there will be no excuses as ye have been our closest challengers over the past five Seasons and if anyone deserves to replace us at the top it would be fitting that Galway would do so."
I would agree with some of that, if Galway were to take us down next Saturday I really hope they go all the way and win it out.
I think there is a kick in this Limerick team yet though and they won't give up their crown easily.

I heard a mad stat from James skehill last week that Galway have won 1 championship match in croke Park since 2017. Is that correct?

Agreed. Like every match it's 50/50. If you're not in it you can't win it. Everyone just needs to do their job and do it well. Galway Abu.

Not that 'mad' really. 'No one' has been beating Limerick in that timeframe. Galway have championship wins in Salthill and Nowlan Park over the Cats recently, but not in Croker since the 2012 Leinster Final. We haven't beaten Dublin east of Tullamore in championship iirc. That leaves the one win, over the masked Wexicans in 2020, and of course the day Owens 'blew when he blew' v Clare at the '18 drawn semi.

Not nearly as 'mad', when you actually tease it out, but one would have to say that it was mildly surprising to many that we didn't beat the Dubs at HQ in this year's Leinster championship. Then again, you go 12points down, and perhaps it was surprising to draw that day too.

Plenty of tickets still available! Come on people of Galway...fill Croker with maroon and white! We can do this! Am tired of being outnumbered by the green lads!

If Limerick win on saturday they will win the final too

The only way they will be stopped is in a semi final

I like skehill, there's a bit of craic in him and he speaks his mind and doesn't take himself too seriously it'd boring if everyone was the same

If Galway hope to beat Limerick (and Paddy Power has Limerick at 2/5 odds on-favourites to win), everything has to go right for them and get a bit of luck on the day. The stupid wides from pot-shots has to stop as 18 or 19 wides the next day will be curtains for sure. The backs will have to be tighter than they were in the Tipp match with no stupid / sloppy goals conceded (as has been the case up to now) and the midfield / forwards will have to work like dogs. Owens reffing is not good for Galway as he is biased against them but lets hope he will not be a major factor in the winning or losing of the game. Gaillimh abú!

You're 100% right. We will NOT get away with all them wides against these guys. No stupid fouls either. At least make Limerick WORK HARD for their scores. I'm looking for Concannon to have a big game as Conor Whelan will surely be well marked.
