Good to get the likes of Collins and McLoughlin firing last night. Didn't learn much else from such a hammering against a very poorly disciplined side in Westmeath. Keep building now towards the Leinster final and further on.

Delighted for Micheal Donoghue to get the big win in Dublin. Great manager and nice to see Wexford beaten again.

Well we did learn that Whelan and Concannon are two of the better goal threats in the country if you give them good ball! Yes it was against Westmeath, but Whelan was on Tommy Doyle, one of the best FBs in Ireland for years now and absolutely destroyed him. If they can get good diagonal ball into those lads there's more goals to be had

Relax Kinvara. Whelan didn't get a sniff on Lawlor a few weeks ago and subbed, I tend to focus in on that rather stuff in a 6-33 win.

Think he was maybe carrying a knock. He didn't do well on Matthew O Hanlon the week before either.

He scored more from play in the Kilkenny match than anyone bar Concannon and Eoin Cody. His point from the sideline was brilliant. Not to be sniffed at in a game that finished a draw.

How is that relevant to the point I'm making?

Of course both lads have an eye for goal if they give good ball. There should be focus on that for a team that has a tendency to get away from going for goal

What's wrong with enjoying the positives of a big win? You might want to get over yourself a bit

Yes you're contradicting yourself there. We struggle to get goals you're right, we struggle to get goals in big games, so I won't be patting on the back when we get goals against the Westmeaths, Antrim's or Laois of the hurling world as we don't do it later in the summer.

Hopefully the minors put in another big performance tomorrow night in the Leinster final. Tricky game even though they hammered Kilkenny in Nowlan Park in the group stage. Squad looks to be getting stronger with Cullen Killeen back in now. They are in the all-ireland semi final win or lose. Clare on the other side look quite strong. Would be a great game if they met each other in an all ireland final.

You've done a full loop to agree with me. We need to focus on getting good ball in during the big games, too much hit and hope to 2 forwards and 3 fullbacks, diagonal balls and more runners will lead to goals

Should be a great match and you're right Clare do look great.

If Kilkenny are the 2nd best Leinster have to offer at Minor level....it looks like we will be winning Leinster Minor titles regularly!! I thought Kilkenny were very bad and dirty!
Best wishes to the East Galway man D. Campbell he took a rotten sneaky clatter to the head, and definitely his presence at no 6 was missed in the 2nd half.
Hope he will be ok to play next weekend in the All Ireland Semi Final.

Yeah I hate seeing anyone getting hurt. Best of luck to him. I hope it's a Galway v Clare final.

They were very slow and heavy legged I thought. And one dimensional in possession. Your lads ran rings around them.

Campbell out of the semi final with concussion according to Fergal Healy. An absolutely awful tackle which should have been a red card. Killeen will probably start in his place next week. Good win for the lads though without ever hitting top gear. It is ironic that the first year they enter Leinster, they win all five games by double digits and a good few of the squad are underage again next year.

cccc needs to address it, time to stamp out this nonsense.
Congrats to our minors.

Yes a great win for the minors. They started to take too much out of the ball in the second half at times instead of letting in direct but apart from that they were well on top. I thought that at least 2 KK players should have been given red cards as they were dangerous tackles (yellow cards are only a cop out and are practically meaningless) and as mentioned Dylan Campbell had to go off with concussion and will miss the next match against Cork. Aaron Niland very classy from play / frees as always and Jason Rabbitte was excellent also. I was thinking during the game that he is the spitting image of the father Joe who wasn't bad also back in the day but the son could be even better!
